AA TGU-MIA FLT: 954
AA MIA-EWR FLT: 1908
I have already written about my flight from TGU-MIA, it can be accessed at:
The second flight that day was on an American A300.
The A300 was N14053 (crashed in Queens on Nov. 12, 2001) I had seat 8A (Bulkhead behind the bathroom) This gave me a good view of the left side engine. My mom and I enjoyed the takeoff sound of the engine. It was more of a whine than a powerful takeoff. The trip up to Newark was great. The service on the flight was par for domestic flying.

On approach into Newark, something happened with my eye. The weeks before we left to go to the States, I had been battling a cold. When the decompression of the plane occurred, I felt as though my right eye was being ripped from its socket. It was the wierdest thing. Throughout most of the approach, I was not able to see beyond the engine because of the storms along the east coast. We landed on runway 4L. The runway was wet and we used most of the runway to slow down. After taxing to Gate 35 we disembarked.
When N14053 crashed, I did not know that it was that same aircraft we had been on. I went to the board of transportation website and found out the registration #.
Comments about this would be nice.
