TPE-MNL On Another Eva Air B747-400M!

Scheduled Time: 9:30 AM
Take Off Time: 9:45 AM
Aircraft: B747-400 Combi
Reg: B-16407
Gate: C7
Class: Economy Class
Date: December 31, 2001

We arrived at TPE 1 hr 40 mins before our flight. The check-in line was very short (So No K Class upgrade) and the staff were friendly and efficient. I noticed on the departures board that BR codeshares quite alot. The immigration line was quite long (Most of them were Filipinos). After about 20 mins we proceded into the terminal. My dad, my mom, and my sister went to the restaurant to get a coke and some stuff to eat.
Me and my brother weren't hungry, so we went to spot planes. We saw 2 BR 767-300ERs, 2 CX A330s and 2 CX A340s. 4 BR 747s, 1 Fedex MD-11, 2 UPS 757s, 2 BR 767-200ERs, 1 NW B744, 1 UA B744, 2 CI A3B6s, 1 TG B772, and finally 1 Air Macau A320. We went around spotting until it was time. We tried to figure out if our plane was a B763 or a B744. It was very confusing.
We then went to board the plane at gate C7. Waiting at the gate was B747-400 Combi B-16407.
When we entered the plane we proceded to row 37 where all of us sat. I took the window seat while my brother and father sat next to me. Eva Air's seats are very soft and comfy, better than Singapore Airlines'.
We pushed back just after B-16401 (The New Livery Plane) parked next to us, at C8. I then saw 1 more CI A3B6. We taxied next to the UA B744 which I managed to catch the reg of it (N191UA). Then we came to China Airlines Land where I saw: 2 China Airlines B744Fs, 1 CI B742, 4 CI B744s, 3 CI A343s, 2 CI B737s, and 2 more Fedex MD-11s.
The take off was quick and they showed the airshow map. Our seat pitch was 33" and we had an Indian Captain. He flew north and made a 180" turn.
Then they turned on CNN and the Local Taipei News. It was available in two languages, English and Chinese.
Dinner was served and the choices were Chicken Or Beef. Of Course I chose Chicken (I hate Beef). It wasn't as good as last time's but it was okay. I got a cup of coke also.
After they cleared the tray I went around for a walk around the aircraft. It was only 20%-30% full in Y. I peeked into K class. It was about 93% full. Big grin I went to the bathroom and after that, sneaked into K class to get a good view of the CF6s. Big grin We were now flying over the northern Philippines.
The captain announced that we were descending. We twisted and turned over Manila and finally we were near the airport. The captain then put gears down and we were approaching the airport. Touch Down was later than expected. I saw 2 CX A340s (B-HXE and B-HXI), 1 KE B773, 1 Royal Brunei B763, and finally, an unidentified russian plane.
From the windows we saw the gate connect to the door, then they let the J and the K class passengers go first. Finally our turn came.
The immigration line was long like always, and even longer because a packed CX A340 and a KE 773 packed with Korean Golfers just arrived.
Our bags came out quickly and then after checks, we left Manila Ninoy Aquino International Airport.

Great! Big thumbs up Their English was quite good. However my father said that their english is still terrible.
