This report is a little later than planned, sorry for the delay folks.

29 Dec'01
Sched dep 18:15
Actual push 18:05
Sched Arrival 20:55
Actual Arrival 20:40

Christmas was over for another year and it is time to get back to the office.
We got to Lisboa airport about 16:30 and headed straight to the BA check-in counter. We has about 3 people in front of us so not a long wait.

After check-in along to the coffee shop for a drink prior to going airside.

Headed down to the gate expecting to see our 757 waiting to take us back to Heathrow,to my horror sitting there as G-DOCW,a 737-436.......I dislike 737's.

Once boarding started, people seem to arrive from every where,I knew this was going to be a full flight.I sat back and waited for the line to vanish,I hate standing in lines.

I was one of the last to board and headed down to my seat,24F,last row but one in the plane. The flight was at least 90% full in all classes.

We pushed back early from the gate and rotated at 18:16.

One thing that annoyed me,was the person in front of me in 23F had their seat reclined all the way from the gate and during take-off.The crew never checked or came around to check everyone had their seat belts on,not what I expect from BA.

The meal service and drinks began shortly after take-off and consisted of Chicken Salad or straight Salad with a roll and a piece of sponge cake.

By the time they got to me all the chicken had gone, only salad left.I do understand how it works, first come etc,but come-on Chicken Salad or just Salad whats going to go first?...HELLO!!!

The flight itself was going well, due to our early departure and lack of head winds we were going to arrive almost half an hour early, until Heathrow decided to have problems with some of the taxiway lighting, resulting in sitting in a holding pattern for some time.

We finally lined up for approach which took us over central London which is always great to see at night.

The person infront of me still had their seat reclined and had so the entire trip.

G-DOCW touched down on 27R at 20:40 local time,15 minutes earlier than planned.

We taxied to gate C41,parking between G-BIKS(757) and G-DOCE(734).

I waited until the rest of the pax had left and apart from the crew was the last person off the plane.

By the time we got to baggage claim(its a long walk from C41!)the bags were waiting,I like that.

Well I hope you enjoyed the report, not the best ever trip from BA,but I only paid £95.20 for the ticket so i'm not going to get too upset.
