On my flight from London to New York last June, I was upgraded to World Traveller Plus. It was certainly more comfortable than Economy, no question. In particular, the seat had an extendable leg rest that made sleeping easier. AS you are both flying on considerably longer flights than mine, that may be particularly useful. The actual service is identical to the regular Economy section, though. Ultimately it depends on the price differential: are you willing to pay the difference for a more comfy seat?

Also, if you are flying alone, definitely go for the solitary seats in the first row, just behind doors 4L and R. You get a lot more privacy and legroom.

I have done LHR-BKK on WT+

There is more legroom, but the meals/service are the same as economy (very good these days in BA).

Price is about 25% extra on top of the full Y fare, but look for discounted fares.

It's nowhere as good as Club World though.
I used to think the brain is the most fascinating part of my body. But, hey, who is telling me that?

Hi

The current return sup for WTP on BA's LHR-SYD-LHR service is GBP688. That a lot if you have paid the low seson world discover fare of about GBP800.00.

I am yet to fly any airline in an upgraded economy cabin. I am going to Boston in September with Virgin and might pay the extra for Premium Economy.

The problem with WTP, evergreen dlx and premium economy is that lost of people think that they are going to get a club style product.

It's mainly the leg-space (or whatever you call it) in WTP-there's plenty of it-the rest is the fairly standard Y product with a few trimmings-PC power point, leg-rest, slightly wider seats etc.

Is it worth it? Everyone has their own idea of value-the choice, is yours!
