12:45 departure from Edinburgh (Turnhouse) to Tenerife South TFS

We checked in early for our flight as there were a lot of ATC problems that day most flight tracking across Europe were delayed between 2 and 4 hours but our flight departed Actually 5mins early which was a nice surprise. We managed to get the overwing emergency exit seats on the flight which were 17AB there was slightly more room but still a bit cramped being a charter flight. Futuras seats are a kind of imitation leatheer in the 737-800s wich isnt the most comfortable. The flight took just over 4.5 hours due to a slight tail wind to help us on our way. We headed south over Carlisle down past Manchester and over France, Mainland Spain and further south to Tenerife....................

We were served our in-flight meal 2hours into the flight wich consists of a kind of pasta in a BBQ sauce with a side salad and cheescake, suprisingly tasty!!! There was an in-flight film - Harry Potter !!!!

We arrived over the north of the Island firstly passing low over Lanzarote (ACE) managing to catch a glimpse of Arricife airport were there was 2 Spanair A321s and 2 Binter ATRs the times was approx 17:00................

There was heavy cloud on arrival at Tenerife and Mount Tiede stuck up out of the cloud very impressive view. We dived into the clouds at a step angle, the winds were pretty heavy and there was moderate turbulance........... but as the Spanish Captains and first officers seem to be fearless when flying the aircraft. Just before touchdown there was severe offseat to the left and the aircraft had to do a go around a few seconds before touchdown , the aircraft pulled up and headed back over the sea for a go around..........this may not have happened if the aircraft was allowed to slow and if the decent had began earlier. The passengers were slightly on edgde and the cabin was in complete silence as we waited to approach in again for the second time

We did manage to touchdown safely the second time and the engines were put into reverse thrust to slow us down enough to taxi off onto stand.....
there were about 20 aircraft parked including spanair A320/321 Futura 737-800s, LTE 757-200,JMC 757-200/A320, Binter ATR, Iberia A320 wich is strange as the normally operate into the North Airport Los Rodeos.

We disembarked through the forward door wich was supplied by the aircrafts on internal steps!!!!!!!!!!!!
