It was early in the morning when I arrived at the main terminal from VIE. In the hall were not many people yet.
My flight OS 5901 to Innsbruck was sheudled for 07:00am. The flight was operated by Austrian Airlines Group member Tyrolean Airways.
It was the first of 5 flights at this day.This flight is normally operated with F-70. The Check-In was very fast and when I got my boarding pass I went through the safety controls into the departure hall. Around 06:30am a bus came and carried the couple of people to our plane at the main apron from Vienna. There were also a lot of Tyrolean planes....
Dash8Q-300´s ; Dash8Q-400´s and of course F-70´s. I couldn´t see a CRJ at this time. I got out of the bus in front of the plane OE-LFJ and went up the little stairs into the plane.

A good looking f/a. was waiting at the beginning of the cabin for the passengers and welcomed them on board. My seat at this time was F06 exactly in front of the right wing. The flight was not so full and so at the other two seats next to me ( seating configuration 2-3 ) was sitting nobody.
The seats were, as normally , very clean and so I leaned back and waited...
Around 06:56am the door were locked and we taxied to runway 16. We were number one for departure and so after a short take off roll our plane roated and climbed up in the blue , cool looking sky. The flight time was 55 minutes so the passengers got only a little breakfast with tea, coffee or orange juice. And a cup of muesli. In the cabin were only 40 people so the plane was half full. The only thing I wondered was , that the Business class was very good booked. Well , over Salzburg the weather was a little bit bad , but that doesn´t matter.
We apporoached Innsbruck around 07:47am and touched down on runway 26 at 07:52am . We quick have reached our parking position and when I got out of the plane I was surprised that the weather was so warm. So I walked to the Arrival area and got out into the main terminal.
I can tell you. Innsbruck is one of the nicest and cleanest Airports in Europe.
The hall was very modern and good looking. only the restaurant was closed , because they were building a new one. So I got out of the Airport and took a Taxi into the centre , wich is only 5 kilometers away. After another business day in Innsbruck I´d drove with the bus to the Airport again.
The flight back to Vienna was sheudled for 20:00pm. The check-In at the airport was very fast and so I´ve had enough time to pass the safety control and sat down in the departure hall. around 19:45pm gate 2 was opened and so I got into the plane; into a very good looking Dash8Q-400 with the reg.OE-LGE.

This flight was nearly full booked and so I haven´t got a window seat.
My seat in this plane was C 15 ; ( seating configuration 2-2 ) after the left wing.A tall man was sitting next to me. While the f/a. was showing the safety rules and all that I tried to relax a little bit in this small cabin. Around 19:50pm the two Props were started and the plane taxied to the holdingpoint from runway 08. There we waited for a landing privat jet. I cannot see wich one. At 20:00pm our Dash8 lined up at the runway and here we went on.
We need circa the half part of the 2000m long runway from INN. We rotated and climbed up in the evenning sky. With heading east our plane got up to its flight level. Now you had a breathtaking view of the Alps. You can see nearly every mountain in Tirol. Wonderful. To my surprise , the you can nearly hear no engines. A very quiet prop. While the f/a. started serving the meals I read the newspaper. The snacks were quite okay and after 55 minutes we landed at VIE´s runway 16 , taxied to our stand and that it was.
At the end I can say. Tyrolean have a quite good service, but I´d like flying with bigger planes better than this little props.
