Great Trip On AS And QX!

Wed Nov 20, 2002 6:40 pm

Hello!

I am not one of those fancy languaged guys, but thought I would share my last trip on Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air.

ANC - SEA FLT # 129 2:27AM

We arrived at the airport on the 2nd of Nov. The check-in line was nice and short, check all our lugguge and were on our way to the gates. Security scanned me all over and I didn't let them x-ray my film, so they got a bit fussy, but everything came out well.

We walked over to our gate and there was our B737-400.

We (Me, my brother and a friend) walked around the terminal for a while before it was time to board, I boarded and took seat 10F. We waited for all the PAX to settle in and pushed back on time.

Take-Off and climbout was smooth, was a very fast climb out! Once up in crusie flt lvl we were served Beer nuts and beverages, they don't seem to feed people on shorter flights very well.

Landing was on time, we arrived and deplane into the C terminal, we walked over to the D terminal for our next and last flight of the day.

for our long flight to Newark. Push back was on time, once up in cruise flight we were serves a very nice hot Chicken dinner, was excellent! The flight was about 5 hours, arrived into EWR at 5:00 PM.

EWR - SEA #8 6:00 PM.

We checked all our luggage once more, it took a while because it was in the first week of AS ne service to EWR. We then walked to our terminal, and passed secuity once more. Once in the terminal I walked around and shot some pictures, the cops were all over me, for some reason they can't stand photographers.

We boarded N617AS on time:

The flight was full, luckily I had the seat next to mine (11F) empty, more comfortable that way. The flight back to SEA was excellent, good food, but was about 6 hours!

Horizon Air flight SEA - ALW

First time I ever flew in a Dash 8 Q200, didn't get the reg, will get that soon.
Boarded on time and I got settled in for the hour flight to Walla Walla, we took off on time and were up in the flight levels fast. The FA actually served us pretzels and beverages. The flight was about 42 minutes long, can't complain, was nice, even though a bit bumpy.

The flight back (a week later) was excellent.
Boarded N375PH for the hour flight back to SEA connecting on to ANC. We check all our bags, was quite a hassle, they had to hand search them all and all of our carry ons, but otherwise things went good. We took of on time and were inflight for a bit over than an hour, had some ATC delays at SEA, we had about 14 people on board.

Boarded OK, but the flight was 40 minutes late for push back, I don't know the reason, but that sure delayed us! We took off and were in cruise shortly afterwards, again same story, beverges and cookies, nothing special. We landed in ANC with a few inches of fresh snow, was a nice change and was great to be back home.

Well thats my little report.

Enjoyed your report! They do serve meals on the SEA-ANC flights, but not on the red-eyes.
