The basic trip report, like my other one a few weeks back.

AA DTW-DFW (Eq: S80) -LAX (Eq: 772)
Cabin: Y, both segments.

The flight from DTW was originally half booked, but an earlier flight had delayed well pass my flight time I was standing-by on. I did not get F/C, however the agent saved me the 3-seat side bulkhead row for my sister and I (no special assistance obviously). Anyway, flight was fine- nothing out of norm. Arrived in DFW a few mins. early. Went to the LAX gate and I already knew that F/C was full, so hoped for two seats next to each other. Got my boarding passes early and boarded- sat in the infamous middle seat of the five with my sister next to me. And actually, not bad at all. I was enjoying it and watched Finding Nemo on the PTV. The flight crew were very upbeat and positive. Arrived in LAX early. Loved the 777. Would of been nice to be in F/C, but oh well. Time to enjoy California, but not before waiting 1 hour and 15 mins. in line at Dollar for my car rental.

Overall: A

AA LAX-DFW (Eq: 763) -DTW (Eq: F100)
Cabin: F, both segments.

Checked the night before for standby space and first still had 18 seats available (new config. 767 with 30 F/C). Arrived at the Self-Service machine about 55 mins. before departure (Labor day and it was very busy!), checked-in, went through security, got to the gate about 25 mins. before departure. The agent had my boarding pass ready and boarded. This was my sister's first time in first, but she was so tired and just wanted to sleep. The flight crew, esp. the Purser was excellent and just... super! I loved her. Arrived into DFW early but had to wait for the gate (about 5 mins.). Went to my next gate and checked-in for standby, got my boarding pass. The flight to DTW felt like forever just because I wanted to get home and sleep. In any case, again, the F/A working first was very nice.

Overall: A
Great service on each flight. Way to go AA'ers.  Smile
