Video Trip Report Part II: MIA-ATL-TLH-ATL-MIA

Sun Dec 14, 2003 10:08 am

Hi everyone, since I'm too lazy to write a full trip report I'm going to post these 2 videos of my trip. The first one is from ATL-TLH (1 min 4 sec) and the second one is from TLH-ATL (56 sec). These videos weren't intended for a trip report so they may seem boring. Since I don't have enough webspace I removed the MIA-ATL video part of the trip(anyone know where I can get some webspace?). Again since I'm to lazy to write a full report I am only going to add a little extra info. Hope you like it...

After I arrived at Atlanta's Hartsfield International Airport I immediately went to my gate, B04. Since I bought a sandwich at MIA and didn't eat it, I ate it once I arrived at my gate. Right before I finished eating my sandwich boarding began. Once on board I was amazed at how much "roomier" the cabin was. With roomier I mean more space in front of you. The leather seats were nice and comfortable and the flip down screens were kinda cool. The flight was uneventful and smooth. When we descended into TLH I found it awkward how low some clouds where. I mean they were really really low.

Since it was really pouring down I returned my rental car an hour earlier to the Thrifty location nearest the airport. Once at the airport I checked in at a counter since there was no line at all. My flight would leave in 2 hours. I went to the gate and sat in front of the window looking out at the tarmac. I saw a Northwest Airlink CRJ in new colors land and later depart. The new color scheme is awesome on the CRJ. After waiting a very long time our plane landed and shortly thereafter boarding began. We used staires to get down on the tarmac. Since everybody went with their hand luggage onto the plane I decided to do the same. Once on board the flight attendant told me to leave my hand lugage behind since hand lugage wasn't allowed on board. The cabin is really modern. Even the leather seats have a modern look. Even though the seats were smaller than seats in bigger planes they were still comfortable. The cabin is small but not claustrophobic but that's to be expected. I think it seemed smaller because there was a "large man" beside me. I think during landing when the gears were being lowered there was this immense loud THUMP, almost as if someone kicked me in the butt. The flight itself was smooth and uneventful.

BTW the rest of trip was:
Boeing 767-432/ER

The whole video trip is 4 minutes and 27 seconds.
To fly, or not to fly: that is the question

Hey BigMac,

Those video was great and I saw whole thing about of you were on their plane and you were flew on the CRJ-700 aircraft and how is it? I didn't know it with cargo hold in the front side of near the passengers door. Is that mean for the small carry-on bags with the planeside? It is excellent trip report and I see whole thing of your video. Thanks!  Smile

Awesome! Is videotaping in-flight really permitted? If so, I'm definetly doing that in April for EWR or JFK to LHR on VS!
