AV And Song, A Trip To The USA, Part 2.

Wed Jul 28, 2004 5:14 am

We woke up at 6:30am, got ready and took 687 south from Rye and got to JFK terminal 2. When we came in, I noticed it was very colorful and had this "cool" way of being.

We checked in and went to gate 25 at 9:07am and some minutes after sitting in the nicest waiting room seats I had ever felt, our 757, fleet number 649 arrived. We boarded N649DL and started pushback something around 10:15. The very funny FAs presented to the passengers and the instructions were given in a hilarious salsa rhythm song. We climbed pretty fast for an almost full plane and the PTVs turned on. When we reached cruising altitude, we stabilized at a speed of 533mph.

I bought the movie Cat in the Hat for 5 bucks and as soon as it started, food service began. I got the roast beef fajta wraps, and I must tell you, this was better than J class food on Mexicana, and J class on AV domestic. I walked around after and the FAs kept on joking to me, that was one of the details that made the difference in this flight.

When I got to my seat, the AirMap showed we were over Jupiter, FLA and our speed was 476mph at the time, the cabin beep was given and we started our descent. The FAs collected the blankets and we saw FLL trough the window. Then came 4 cabin beeps which I thought was very weird and we roared down FLL´s runway.

We parked next to a DL 757 and when we got off the plane, the crew were waiving goodbye to all of us passengers, and mom and I greeted them for the wonderful flight. I was very pleased with song, and would fly them 50 times more!
