First thing i noticed on this flight, besides the fact that it was full, was that this particular 757 did not have air vents in the Passenger service units- the first time i'd seen a 757 like that. This flight continued onto Los Angeles and had a Los Angeles based flight crew. Shortly after takeoff, we leveled off just above 10,000 feet before continuing our ascent and Delta Horizons was played on the TV... the f/a's came around with a beverage service and the DL ranch snack mix was served. Not really anything else remarkable on the flight except that the f/a's werent as pleasant overall as ATL-based or CVG-based crews and that the 757 looked like it was quite old. Almost missed this flight due to inbound traffic on I-84 in Hartford--- got into parking lot at 5:08 for 5:42 departure- got on w/ five to ten minutes before the door closed.... whew!

Completely full flight up to DTW...left on time and would have arrived early if not for 10-minute delay waiting for rampers (GGRRRRRR)...Kirsten the f/a was very hot but really had a tough time getting through the announcements clearly cause she talked so fast...she came around to offer snacks and I had 2 biscoff cookies along with a dasani water, which was the only beverage offered due to short duration of flight. Good views outside because of passing thunderstorms, but the flight overall was only slightly bumpy with occasional moderately rough spots. Is it just me, or do the 40-seat CRJ's have slightly more room than the 50-seat versions????

Wow I'm so glad this flight was relatively short --- it wasn't very pleasant. The APU unit on the aircraft wasn't operational and consequently the air conditioning didn't work until the aircraft's engine's were on (and since they taxi w/ only one engine even in taxi it was too hot)...the plane was about 85 degrees from being in the hot sun during the 40 minute layover in DTW, which was about 85 degrees that day. Plus, the lady next to me on the plane would not shut up-- and Im a pretty nice guy and don't mind talking to people or anything- but this woman had nothing interesting to say really-- i finally got her to quiet down when i got out my cd player. Pretzels and dasani were offered followed by a mint before as we began descent (sometimes you get a mint, sometimes you don't....)

Really pretty much the same as when I had taken this same flight 832 15 days earlier; except that there was an aircraft switch (flight technically came from Seattle/Tacoma, but the aircraft came from LAS and was late)...people on the inbound flight missed their connections for Europe and were Not happy!! No Delta Horizons offered which I found odd.... f/a's were nice though and came around w/ drinks and beverages and it might just have been the smoothest flight id ever been on in my life, up until touchdown in Hartford, which, for Delta and a 767 (DL loyal fliers understand this), was relatively smooth....

Well I know it wasn't too long, but hope you enjoyed this trip report....
