Well, this is my first trip report ever. I decided to make it nice, by including pictures. They are not the best quality, as I found out later that I had my camera set on the wrong thing. They also include pics of ISP
's new terminal!!
Also, it might take a couple more seconds than usual because I have 26 pictures in this TR
! Please be patient!
Here I go...
It was finally the 19th of November. I was really happy. Why? I was finally going to see the new ISP
terminal, and I was going to fly, and even better, on WN
I woke up at around 4:30 am. I left for the Airport at 5:45 am. I started to get really close now!!
Finally, I arrived!
This is a picture of the old terminal...
Picture of the new terminal (sorry, but it was raining)...
This is just after walking through security. You have to walk up the stairs, and then you see the awesome new terminal.
Isn't she just beautiful?? I personally love this airport. It is beautiful on the inside and out. This next picture is of the 3 mini resturants...Rapidos, A&W, and Pizzico. At the time, only Rapidos was open, and was serving coffee, bagels, juices, and chips.
Here is a picture of my plane waiting at gate A7. Sorry about the quality.
Here is a really bad picture of the CNBC News store. It was like the store that almost all airports have with newspapers, candy, keychains, clothing, hats, souviners of the state your in, and all of that other good stuff.
I have a feeling this is either where they are going to put the four additional gates, or another parking lot. Anyone know? Also, that large area of pavement is where WN
stores their planes everynight.
This is a picture of the other side of the airport, where CO
, and US are. They are not mainline thought, its all express.
This is a picture of the outside of the airport.
Time for the Flight...
WN Flight #1065
November 19, 2004
Departs- 8:10 am
Arrives- 9:05 am
Actual DT- 8:10 am
Actual AT- 8:45 am
Departure Gate- A7
Arrival Gate- C13
I also noticed that there are alot of planes that park overnight at ISP
. I counted 2 DLX, 3 COX, 1 USX, and 7 WN
planes. I also noticed that WN
planes were equipped with winglets, and were all in the old colors. There was also a private 737-700 with winglets.
Here is a horrible picture from inside the plane at the gate.
This is just after take-off. It was REALLY bumpy. The whole plane was shaking. It dropped one time, and I thought my insides were going to come right out of my mouth!
Just out of the clouds...thank god! Right as we got into the clouds, all we did was turn all over the place. Once we were above the clouds, the pilot kept on going to a higher altitude, and than down again. It was very odd.
this is when we started to lower agian...
Turning....for the 37510146207 time.
Here is a picture of the cabin (here you go NIKV69!)
THE CRUISING ALTITUDE!!
Starting to descend into BWI
Just before going into the clouds...again.
N613SW is at gate C11, preparing for her flight to RDU
This concludes my TR
! There is still part 2. BWI
-ORF. I will post that tomorrow. Please leave a comment, just to let me know how I did, or if you have any questions. Thanks for your time, and I hope you enjoyed it.
Also, for those of you who haven't seen the picture that I took at FLL
of the NWA B744, here it is:
