Great report! great pics.

"When I left the toilet, it was already broad daylight (you can imagine how long I was in the toilet!)"-rather not!!!

As for the 'chinese' it is actually japanese, I think, and was probably a left over for the previous flight. Otherwise, may be an asian thing. KLM has chinese notices on its asian flights and aircraft.

What was the BA 737 doing there? I know it is Comair but I thought they were 727s?

Very nice report and pics.

Ba025 - The 737-200 in BA colours is indeed operated by Comair. I believe the 727-200s are no longer operated by the airline. I know some were transferred to Kulula.com, Comair's no-frills airline.

I believe Nationwide Airlines still operate the 727 in South Africa, possibly even the -100 series still Can anyone confirm this is still operating??

And nope, it is CHINESE...

Scubble...

This picture, and I hope you don't mind me posting it:

...is absolutely brilliant! I LOVE the "Lord of the Rings" meets 2005 theme that is going on here. The infinite shades of gray and contrast with the chaotic mountains and the streamlined wing is simply magnificent!

I don't know what I missed, but why is there a BA 732 at Cape Town? Also, BA still flies 732's?

Great TR!! Great Pics also!

These 732's are operated by Comair in BA livery.

BA025 - As UK_dispatcher is pointing out, BA (Comair) is no longer operating 727's, they still have the 732's and 733's, with more 733's on their way.

UK_dispatcher - yes, Nationwide still operates the 727...they have one 727-100 and two 727-200's, in addition to their fleet of 732's. Unfortunately, the 727's are on their way out since Nationwide recently added another three 732's to their fleet, as well as two 735's.

To clarify for those who don't know - Comair (from South Africa, not to be confused with Comair from the USA) operates the BA franchise in South Africa, therefore all their aircraft are painted in BA's livery. They fly under the "Comair" callsign, though. Kulula.com, South Africa's first low cost, no frills airline, also belongs to Comair.
Aircraft types flown on: A319, B727, B732, B733, B738, B744, DC9, MD82, DH3, DH4

Photobucket SUCKS. I posted pics there, but every one of them turned out really grainy and poor quality. What a waste of cyberspace.

Anyhow...I'm sure your pics. are great, as was the report...thanks for sharing with us.

Donate $5 to Photobucket and your bandwidth limit gets lifted. That's what I have done.
