SWA Flight 732 FLL-STL

Feb 14th
Southwest Airlines Flight 732

We arrived to the FLL airport at 10:00am. We said our goodbyes and walked inside the terminal. I printed our boarding passes and my grandma went ahead and checked her bag. I was wearing my SWA shirt Tom had gotten me for xmas and the agent had commented about it.
Agent--"hey thats a nice SW shirt where did you get it?!"
Me-" oh a friend of mine got it for me and i wear it when I fly SWA to show my support"
Agent" well please come work for us, you definetly have the right attitude for it!"
Grandma-"he sure does man he is very hyper when it comes to flying SWA"
me"what can I sya I love SWA "
Agent" well we are glad to see you on board , your flight is leaving from gate B-1 have a great trip!"

We walked down the escalator and to the security line. I pulled out my ID and Boarding pass and we had it checked. We went to the first line and i took off my shoes, belt, and stuff that would attract the detector. Got through just fine, and sat down later to put my stuff back on. We walked to B-1 and just sat around. I saw a 737-300 pull up to the gate besides us and watched it load and unload passengers.

Our Gate Area.

So we still had an hour to kill so I walked around to get some pictures.

The gate area got really busy and I saw the plane was coming in for landing.

I am still texting to tommy about the plane and I said "I think its blue."

he said back "you sure its not lime?"

I said "well is the plane coming in a -700?"

he said "no its a new plane with auto trude devices built into it"

It pulled up to the gate and lo and behold it was N455WN! The same plane I had flown to PHX back in July!!

I was talking to tommy about the plane, saying holy shit i just flew that plane to PHX. he replied via text message

"I flew it to Bogliva during the revolt. I was aiding the rebels in their fight to overthrow the gov't!"

Well I decided to time how fast they could get the passengers off the plane and us back on. Our load for the flight was 100 passengers. So no getting bumped this time

it was 11:50am when we started boarding for the flight. I got on with the A card as usual. Sat down and watched the rest of the people board.

Waiting for everyone else to board i peaked out the window and saw NEVADA ONE pulling up to the gate next to us!

Everyone was done boarding and we started backing out at 12:20pm. So it took exactly 30 minutes to get everyone off the plane. It flew ALB-MCO-FLL before becoming 732 FLL-STL. We taxied to the runway, 9L. We had a female captain, male F/O, and 2 male F/A and a female F/A and an AA F/A non revving on our flight to I believe STL. We stopped short of 9L and waited for a Spirit MD80 to turn around on the runway and get off as N757LV another SWA 73G came in for landing. It seemed quite close , as soon as the MD80 got off the runway the 73G came right in. The DL 732 in front of us went to the runway and took off, then the MD80 took off. We turned onto the runway and then we did our take off. We had a very light load so we only used half of the runway. Gears tucked in and flaps came back in. I saw FL 73G Winglets taxi by with a US Airways 733 and a DL 767.

The engines went very quiet as we went over Dania Beach. I saw all the ships down there and we turned left back to Florida Mainline. Thanks to Bryan (KFLLCFII), he pointed out to me that down there is an airport in the shot just after takeoff is Pompano Airpark (PMP). As your looking out the window you are also looking at the Cypress Creek Canal, ending at Lake Santa Barbara along the Intercoastal waterway! right in the center of the shot, along the coast where there's a notch...that's the Hillsboro Inlet.

We followed through to TPA and the rest of the way. Service was AWESOME. They were consistently going back and forth. I got myself a can of coke again I walked back to go to the bathroom, and the F/AA, Aimee, stopped me and inquired about my SWA shirt! . So we talked, and we ended up chatting for over 40 minutes. I learned she was MDW based. Had a layover in STL, and she and miguel, the other F/A both flew together all the time, and were in the same graduating class as well. She was very pleasent and extremly nice to chat too! I said I dont want to keep you busy, so ill return to my seat. she said no problem come back whenever you want! I smiled and went back to my seat.

Then I heard the dings and the pilot said we were starting our descent for STL already!! :skeptic:

I looked out the window and what do you know..STL the city passing by!

Then I saw the new runway, we were 12 miles out from landing.

Soon, flaps and wheels came out for landing and we landed on R 12R. We taxied by the completely empty gates at C Concourse. We taxied to gate E-18. We all got off and we walked to baggae claim, got the bag and headed off to the metrolink!

Once Again, Southwest Ailrines proved they are extremely reliable, safe and they do the best they can. Plus i got this entire airfare for 148 dollars round trip thru DING. You just simply cannot beat that at all!

Nice report and photographs, Mr. Atrude777. Liked the shot of the cabin seating - first time I have seen inside a SWA plane.
