Hey all new member here and first trip report.

After almost three years of no vacation out the country, I decided to head over to Germany to visit my cousin and his new born baby. I wasn't sure what airline to go on as my first trip to Germany was with airtransat and it was a great flight there but coming back was a differen't story. The plane had it door damage at Warsaw Poland airport and Had to spent a nite there and this was back sept.2003. Well I was about to book on Air Canada being my Country's Airline but KLM was offering a cheap flight at time and it was almost $300 difference so I did reserach on KLM and after two days of reading, I decided to book on KLM two months before my departure date.

Well Jan 24 arrive and my best friend pick me at 1:30pm to head to the airport. Now my flight was schedule to take off at 6:20PM but we left elary because of traffic and trust me, traffic in Toronto can make you go insane and loose your cool so we left early to avoid it. we got to the airport around 3pm and my friend decided to take me to TIM HORTON'S (coffee shop) before I leave the country as there in no TIM HORTON'S in Europe.

Well we head back to the airport around 4:30 and since I already checkin on-line I didn't have to stand in checkin line so I bypass the line. 6pm we started boarding the plane B747-400.

Class: Economy class
Name of passenger: Appiah/Ernest
Frequent flyer no: KL/2015469546
From: Toronto/yyz
TO: Amsterdam/ams
Flight no.: KL 0692
Class: M
Date: 24Jan
Seat: 52k
ETKT10122263573336

Well around 6:30pm, the captin came on PA and told us he is waiting for control tower for clearence. Shortly after that we started to taxi (I think that is what is called) to the runway, well that is what I though we were heading but asit turn out, the plane needed to get spray on cause of ice. After 15 mins of spray, we head to the runway and within ten mins we were in the sky and I couldn't see anything because it was dark in Toronto at that time, Well I couldn't see anything until we got to Amsterdam. We were about 30 mins off our schedule time but it no big deal.
Now for those who have never been to Amsterdam airpot (AMS) make sure you are ready walk if you have a connected flight at AMS as it is one HUGE airport. Well about to hours later I was to Hamburg on fockker 100 flight no. KL 1779.

KLM is a really good airline, I haven't fly a lots of differen't airlines but if I was to rate them, it will be 10/10. They make sure that you enjoy your flight, they treat you with respect and it didn't matter if you were flying first class or secound or third class.
THANKS FOR READING.

First of all: welcome to A.net!

Very short TR, but with nice pics! AMS is indeed large, especially if your not familiar with the airport it can be a surprise! The B747 PHBFN is unfortunately out of service for at least the next couple of weeks (maybe months!) due to an accident with a pushbacktruck. Fortubately nobody was hurt, but the plane needs major repair.
