Hi, I want to know if any of you here would like to see a glimpse of Thailand Newest International Airport !!!

Me and my friends had the opportunity to visit this amazing Airport, and we did take a lot of pictures.

So, I would like to share it with you and again, I've already made the intensive review for this trip, there is a link below that will direct you to my review page. Sorry for this inconvenience, but never the less, enjoy !!

Fantastic tour, thanks a lot for posting all the pictures!

I really like the artwork on the gate doors, this is simply fantastic and I have never seen this before at another airport:

Actually I prefer glass airbridges but the Thai logo and colors are also looking nice, better than the usual HSBC or RBS advertisments like at LHR or FRA, respectively:

When will the new airport open? And what will happen with Dong Muang Airport then, will it close?

Awesome report  Smile

I can't wait until the new airport opens  Smile

BTW - Is it just one huge terminal, or is it split up into Domestic and so on?

Will PG and Air Asia have gates?

Rob!  wave

Well, we dont really know yet.Latest news is that the opening ceremony and first official flight will be during the week of the 60 year anniversary of His
Majesty's accession to the throne. (btw:longest acting monarch worldwide),
which is basically the week of June 9th - 2006. Bangkok will be a centre of
many royals and officials during these days.

The opening is not confirmed yet. For some of you who may not know, but Bangkok's Don Muang Airport, is the oldest operating Airfield / Airport in the
Southeast Asian Region.

Great report!!

The new airport is well needed and sure looks nice!!
Pity it`s not to open until June, since I will be arriving at fabulous Don Muang Airport on April 8th Smile

Traveling to Thailand will be even nicer with the new airport Cool

Thanks for posting, looks like an ultra modern airport and I especially enjoyed the two photo's of the three Beautiful Thai check-in agents !

Couple of questions. When the new airport opens will it be only bus/taxi service into the city or is some of sort of train being built ?

Are any Hotels being built near the new airport ?

Thanks
