Den-phx Part Two On F9 With Pics

Sun Aug 27, 2006 10:00 am

If you have read the first report, please remember that this is my first trip report so please be kind.

I was visiting the Phoenix area looking at flight schools one in particular RAA academy. The school appeared to be top notch ,but I have not made any decisions at this time. I arrived at williams gateway airport for the tour of the academy. To my delight I got to witness a dc-10 do about 15 touch and gos while I was there.

anyways We arrived at the ticket counter at about 12:00pm for our flight at 3:30.
the agent at ticket counter was quite slow at checking our bags.
I then proceeded through security with no problems and headed towards the food court.

an AA super80

I proceeded to the gate and had alot of time to get some shots off.

DL 757 to atlanta

couldn't resist another shot

at about 2:50 I realised I would be getting quite a treat for I found out that I would be flying an A318!

We were delayed about 40minutes out of phx due to a malfunction with the aircrafts rear door.

while onboard during the delay there was strange mist that seemed that came from the overhead bins
I know this has been discussed before but I've never been able to get a clear answer on it.

on aproach to 35R

overall I received outstanding service onboard f9 they seemed to have upgraded there seats recently as well.

The mist is totally normal. It is the hot air from outside, hitting the cooler air inside the cabin. It is the same thing that happens when you open the door to your freezer on a hot humid day.

Thanx for the awsome TR!!

Great report man!  Smile I flew on Frontier in July (A319 N925FR DFW-DEN-SEA) and they have absolutely great service! Although we had to do a groundstart because of a APU failure. (I think thats what they said  Confused) Also about the mist, I saw the same thing and was wondering what the mist was all about! Big grin

Quoting AAden (Thread starter):

at about 2:50 I realised I would be getting quite a treat for I found out that I would be flying an A318!

I'm sorry to disappoint you, but N932FR (Sarge the Bald Eagle) is actually an A319.

The 318s are as follows:

N801FR (Grizwald the Grizzly Bear)
N802FR (Montana the Elk)
N803FR (Stu the Rabbit)
N804FR (Mo and Jo the Fox Cubs)
N805FR (Ollie the Great Gray Owl)
N806FR (Humphrey the Bison)
N807FR (Charlie the Cougar)

I hope you get another chance to fly on one very soon!
