Monday Aug 6.
after the 6 hr flight up here and another 6 hrs to spare before my flight home I decided to head over to the general aviation area and lake hood. there's a museum there and a small seaplane company called Rusts'. for $90 i could go on a scenic 40min tour around the mtns. i decided to go since I'm only paying $45 rt standby on NW
. well i think it was the best $90 i ever spent. this was my first seaplane ride. that there was almost worth the $$ but the scenery was amazing! these pics are good, but you really have to be there to experience this!!!
Can you find the moose?

after my scenic trip a had dinner and made my way back to the airport for my flight home. I checked in to find that this flight was full and there was a possibility i wont make standby tonight. I went thru to gate B10. N583NW, a 753, was waiting for us all to board. I checked with a gate agent who said that i will most likely get on tonight. and i did. I got a window seat too, in the back section of the 753 42-A. ahh this was nice. but the the couple sitting next to me had there 1yr old on their laps. this was a bit of an inconvence because i like to get up during a flight. but i didn't want to disturb the baby which slept across its parents laps the whole way to MSP
. at least it wasn't crying! i had my i-pod and a window, once again, that's really all i need to be happy.
the new terminal at ANC
, either north or south, i forget.
the flight departed around 10pm ANC
time and arrived the next morning at MSP
just before 6 am. overall it was good, the F/As came aound with their service after takeoff, not to be seen again after, ohh they did offer water a couple of times. I fell into a light sleep the second half of the flight and before i knew it we were decending into MSP
. I was gone for exactly 24hrs. only an A.netter would be crazy enough to travel so far for such a short time!
All flights have great IFE...get yourself a window seat, thats something no PTV can beat! flew 808 Pacific an Atlanic
