PHL-SNN-PHL On US Back In 2003(sorry No Pics)

Fri Sep 29, 2006 12:38 pm

Well this was quite awhile ago so I dont have the flight times but I'll do my best. Enjoy.

US 70
PHL-SNN
B767-200ER
Dinner/breakfast
Used Dividend miles
N646US
So we get to PHL 2 hours prior and check in for the 6HR 30MIN flight to SNN for a quick 5 day visit to my Aunt in Kerry who had come down with Cancer(She's fine now) as this was no Holiday as we had just come back from a 15 day Holiday in Italy. So we go to A24 where our 762ER is waiting. We then board our tired 762 which is definantly a far cry from the A330's I crossed the pond with to CDG and FCO in recent years but still a nice enough plane. I notice the legroom is better than the A330 due to lack of AVOD box. The F/a's on this flight consist of both old and young crew. All female. So we taxy out and takeoff on 27L which is a bumpy one and climb to FL330. We level off and the movie About Smidt is shown which is alright. Then dinner is served which is Penne pasta which is decent and for my drink I have Club soda and ask for Lemon(Which I have graciaously got on my last flight to CDG on US) instead she just shakes her head points at me and laughes and pulls her cart away  crazy . So I ask the F/A in the other Aisle and get the lemon slice with a smile. A little later the F/A who deprived me of my lemon Charged up the Aisle with tears in her eyes and disapears into the Envoy class LAV.  scratchchin . Wonder what that was about. So we continue to cruise. This crew did not do one H20/OJ run unlike my A330 crew on CDG-PHL one year prior who did 4! runs.So I go back to get my water and the F/A(the Lemon addict) just flat out Says "no"!(What a Bit**) so I venture to the Envoy Galley and come across a real nice F/A who gives me an Envoy size bottle and a Headphone coupon for my return flight as an appology. We then are served Breakfast which is A doughnut and OJ. It is actully pretty good. We then decent and land on RWY 6 at SNN. We then pick up our little Ford Fiesta from Europcar and make our deive to Kerry.

So we arrive at SNN check in and proceed to the Duty free there. Not much as far as spotting just some FR stuff 3 EI A330's and our 762. We then board and this 762 is less tired on the inside but in desperate need of a paint job(which it has now). One nice suprise is that I am welcomed abord by the same F/A who welcomed me onto my A330 CDG-PHL one year prior(see my TR just search my user name) The crew on this flight is noticibly older but definantly nicer. So after a short taxy to RWY 26(I think) behind an FR 738 we roar down the RWY and take to the cloudy Irish sky. Soon we climb to FL 390 and it is announced that 2 movies will be shown(About smidt again and I forget the other one) plus the normal short subject stuff. I am then presented with a tray of spinach cantaloni(which is quite good) and I ask for my Club soda in which the F/A replys "Would you like Lemon?" so that is off to a better start than the PHL-SNN. I then have Tea once the trays are collected. The rest of the cruise is nice midflight I go and get water and the f/A Maria hands me some pretzles as well. Then 2 hours before touchdown the F/A's pass with turkey sandwhiches and I have a Coke to drink. The sandwhich was quite good with swiss on it. We then decent and land on-time on 27R and taxy to A23(the gate I used to go to FCO last august.) overall a nice trip except that one F/A on the outbound leg. Questions and comments welcome.

You cant move it yourself. You need to get this one deleted and start it in the proper forum. If you have the option, edit it and delete the content.

Nice report! I do hope youo got that idiot F/A's name and will write a letter about how rude and unprofessional she was. Nothing justifies the behavior you say she exhibited.

I got to that the day after my return to the US and actully got an appology from US Airways. And yes I did get the Lemon addicts name from the F/A in ENVOY who gave me the coupon.
