The flight I took was almost seven years ago. I was coming back from SFO
and I realized we were on a Northwest 747-200 that was on its final flight before it went to the desert. I don't know the planes registration and wish I would have asked. I learned from the flight attendant that the plane was to be flown to Phoenix afterwards where it would be sent to the desert. This was the last commercial flight. The plane was in reasonably good shape and that was back when they had inflight movies and food so the service was good as well. There were few people on the flight although it might have just seemed that way because the plane was so big. Although it was sad knowing the plane was bound for the junkyard, it was an experience that I will never forget.
