MSP-ATL On DL

Thu Jan 25, 2007 12:45 pm

I woke up very early in the morning for my trip to ATL. My cousin was taking me there because he works for DL. He picked me up late because he set his alarm clock wrong. Instead of riding the train we rode in his truck and parked at one of the parking ramps at the Lindbergh Terminal. We were going to be in ATL for a couple of hours so I only had one bag. We passed through security and went to our gate on time.
Date: April 2005
Flight: Unknown
Airline: DL
Aircraft: MD-88
The flight attendants were nice. We tookoff on time and I listened to my CD player and played my Nintendo. When we were descending my ears were popping a lot. I hadn't flown for awhile so it was unrecognizable. When we landed I saw a Korean Air 744 at the gate, it was the first time I saw a foreign carrier. When we got off the plane we rode the tram and rode Atlanta's subway to downtown Atlanta. We ate, went to Olympic Park and rode the train back to the airport. We were planning to see the Korean Air 744, but the train was late. After riding the train we got on the tram and went to our gate.
Flight: Unknown
Airline: DL
Aircraft: MD-88
I said goodbye to the Korean 744 and headed back home. It was raining at MSP so we went on a different runway. I hope to go to ATL again and see a foreign carrier closer. I have some photos and will try to post them soon.

I forgot what time we departed and arrived. When we departed from MSP it was in the morning and when we departed from ATL it was in the afternoon. I will try to get a couple photos soon.

I'am sorry to say I could not find the photos I took at ATL.  Sad I took a couple of pictures of Olympic Park. I took a picture of a Atlanta subway train, and at the airport I took a picture of my flight back home, took a picture of some Air Tran aircraft, and took a picture of a DL 763.

I agree. This is the second trip report of yours I've read that was less trip report, and more trip statement. I went to Atlanta. I saw an airplane. I flew back.

DETAILS..... Read the other trip reports, you'll see what people are looking for.

Alright I'm thinking of what else I did in Atlanta. After we (my cousin and I) got off the train in downtown Atlanta we went to get a slushy. Then we watched kids run around in the fountains at Olympic Park. We wanted to see the KE 744 so we went to the train station. The train was delayed for about 20 minutes, so we did not see the KE 744 so we went right to our gate and went back home.

After many months I finally got one more thing that showed my flight and seat # from ATL to MSP.
Route: ATL-MSP
Flight: DL 704
Seat: 10C
Aircraft: MD-88
Date: April 16

Both flights were uneventful and the seats were comfortable.

And on the flight to ATL for a snack, which was free, I had chips and a Sprite. I might go back to Atlanta and probably stay in Atlanta longer than a couple hours so I can watch planes at ATL.

Yes, youre an av nut, you gotta know your stuff, the SID's and STAR's flown, your routing, weather and what runway you landed, what high speed taxiway you took, what gate you docked at, and even how good looking or ugly the FA's were.

better, lemme hand out a little word of advice, enjoy writing the reports, it will ameliorate your writing skills significantly if you try your best, just look at some reports by Door5Right, although no one can compare against him here, he is a source of inspiration and excites the reader to expect more trip reports.

On the flight back to MSP we would be sitting right next to the engine. I was worried the engine would be loud, but my cousin told me it wouldn't be loud but still switched our seats so we were now in the front of coach class.

And the KE 744 was not the first foreign carrier I've seen (the first was FI at MSP). KE was the first Asian carrier I've seen.

You were on N945DL for your flight from ATL-MSP. I couldn't find out what you flew down there since there wasn't enough info. But if you didn't know that registration, there's one you've flown on.

Af773atmsp,

I think you should stop replying immediately. Go back and have a look at how trip reports are written before offering dribs and drabs of your memory. This trip should have been written in more detail than this and many have already pointed that out.

Read what others have done first before continuing to reply...

This is almost a okey TR.

As many has said before you need more details. Look ón other TRs, you will know what we mean.

However, thank you for sharing.
