Fokker 70 PH-KZL
Boarding took place from gate D6, and as usual we were taken to our aircraft by bus. On the way I noticed an Antonov 12 of what I believe was Volare Airlines, it was parked on the cargo ramp so quite far. Our Fokker 70 sadly hadn't been painted in the smart new KLM livery, and was definitely in much need of a decent paint job!
Photo of sistership PH-KZH, again in need of a new paint job!

Depature was on time and soon enough we were cruising towards Leeds. We were offered a choice between a turkey or cheese sandwich, and this is only a fifty minute flight! The snack was good, and beats the hell out of the snacks you get on BA flying to Holland or Jet2 where you have to pay! The drinks service was very late, by the time we got our drinks we were approaching the English coast, and soon enough we began our descent. The whole flight was very bumpy, definitely more than usual.
Photo of Leeds area on short finals:
Landing was particularly hairy, very turbulent and we landed very heavily, followed by a load bang, I thought we had popped a tyre but no, judging by the many landings I have made at Leeds (as a passenger) we came in pretty far down the runway, not sure though. Regardless we came to a stop very quickly and proceeded on our very short taxi to the terminal.
Overview of the Leeds Bradford airport with Aer Arann ATR42:
Taken from the terminal, some of the Jet2 aircraft, sorry about the glare, damn glass!
All in all, the flight was great. KLM provides an excellent service and the Fokker 70's and 100's are very comfortable! Even better is the free snack and drink you get for a fifty minute flight, fantastic.
Hope this was helpful/enjoyable
