I normally write quite a long, detailed trip report, however, this time I’ve kept it short and done mostly a picture report due to time constraints! Big grin

-----------------------------------------------------

I chose Vueling as a continuation to my day trip to BCN with easyJet to make for a much more interesting day! It was a choice between Vueling and Clickair on the BCN-AGP route and Vueling won due to good feedback online and great incentives to book with them such as free pre-bookable seats, online check-in, guaranteed no overbooking of flights and suchlike. The fare was fantastic at just €19.70pp and with nice leather seats, a modern fleet and a good reputation for service, Vueling was the obvious choice.

Vueling emailed a flight reminder to me two days before my flight advising me online check-in was now open etc which I thought was a good touch. I printed my boarding pass off and as I had no hold baggage which made for a very easy journey through the airport. I did the same with my easyJet flights. After arrival from Liverpool with easyJet, we caught the train into Barcelona Sants on the Renfe train at €2.50 return! After a couple of hours looking around the city, we caught the train back to BCN and sailed through security with relative ease. I bought the aftershave I stupidly decided not to buy when I was FUE in December (212 Sexy Man in case you where wondering - not out in the UK!!) and then headed for some lunch!

The flight screens showed a late departure at 15:30 which was fine as it just meant we had less waiting to do in AGP!

Upon boarding, a drunken passenger was escorted away from the gate by security guards (there’s always one!) which delayed boarding ever-so-slightly before we where allowed to go down the air bridge. The crew where extremely sexy and not to mention, very well dressed and smart in their uniforms.

The Stunning Girl on the Very Far Left was Our Numero Uno Onboard! She Certainly Is!! Big grin

The cabin was bright, airy and spacious and was equipped with comfortable leather seats and a decent seat pitch. Boarding took quite a while but once complete, the safety was done manually in Español and English and we quickly began push back. The crew introduced themselves and where they originate from, which again, I thought was a nice touch. The Captain was from the Canaries and First Officer from Canada with most of the Cabin Crew coming from Barcelona.

We where welcomed to Malága where the weather was sunny with temperatures at a nice 23°C. We taxied towards Terminal 1 and where soon able to disembark via the Air Bridge.

After disembarking, we made the long walk to arrivals and went up stairs to departures and sped past the long check-in queues for the EZY7184 to Liverpool and straight to Security with out check-in already completed 2 days earlier.

I was very pleased with Vueling and would happily recommend them to you all! I get the impression that they are a high spirited, passionate airline and have a genuine interest in their customers and providing them with good, reliable service. They seem to appreciate their customers which is reflected with their Frequent Flyer programme - ‘Punto’, the various prize draws and competitions they run on their website and the gifts they award to milestone customers. Their fares are superb value and they include all taxes in their advertisements and online which keeps frustration to a minimum! The online extras they offer free of charge are great and their aircraft, sexy crew and service are well above the average for an LCC. Highly Recommended!

So I say sorry to you all for my cheesy and poor attempts at Spanish in this report and for old times sake, Muchas Gracias to Vueling!

Here are a couple of random shots from easyJet to round of the report:

Great report!

Unfortunately I never had a chance to fly with Vueling when I lived in Madrid but I'm hoping I'll have a chance in the future to fly on them.

Vueling is definitely one of my preferred airlines, second only to Air Berlin in the LCC-category. I flew them from Valencia to Paris CDG and Brussels. Thanks for the report.

Yeah, Vueling is great! I've been flying with them once, but was impressed! Although my flight got cancelled due bad weather at my destination, they booked a 4* hotel with dinner, free Spanish wines, and transportation for me, and easily rebooked me on the next morning service. When I got home, I already found an email with a 40% discount offer for any next flight on them. With apologies for the inconvenience caused by Vueling!
It's the way to go! Very professional, very attractive. This is how you treat your customers, even if you're a LCC!
Thanks for your report  Smile

One time I had a Virgin Express flight from Barcelona to Brussels and the flight was cancelled. VEX rebooked pax on the Sabena flight to Brussels, and I was one of the lucky ones to be rebooked onto Luxair to Luxembourg and then by bus to BRU. I didn't mind as I wasn't in a hurry and, above all, I got a voucher for a free flight to any VEX destination - which I used to go to Rome!

BTW, can anyone tell me what the exact setup is of the new Brussels Airlines? I understand that it is a combination of a full-service airline - SN Brussels - and a low cost carrier - Virgin Express. How does this work?

The Cabin Mid Flight On This Quiet Afternoon Service

strange to see...  Wow! Maybe the flight-time is to short...  Confused

On my last flight from MAD to PMI we had fantastic chill-out music (like puro-beach @PMI) during boarding and descending. but best part was inflight-video on a domestic flight and many channels to tune in...
I just luv the marketing: "Vuelling- your airline that is not overbooking a single flight!"  praise

They are the BEST low-cost I have ever seen so far...  bigthumbsup

Upon boarding, they where playing some great music including Sting/Rise & Fall and amongst others, an absolutely mad Spanish song, not sure what it was called though!  Smile

It did say in the card in the seat pocket that on a flight such as the duration of BCN-AGP, they would show The Simpsons and Friends but perhaps the IFE was U/S. I meant however, by ‘quiet’, that most people where having a siesta onboard, not much movement around the cabin, a very nice and peaceful flight; just how I like it Big grin

I am already planning my next Spanish day trip! This time, MAN-PMI with MyTravel Airways, PMI-BCN with Vueling  Wink and finally, BCN-MAN with Jet2. Cost is about £90 for the 21st August.

Interesting report - great pics and some additional dteails as well that provide a good picture what to expect when flying Vueling (which I unfortunately never did). Seems to be a very good airline.
