TUS-ORD-DTW (AA / NW) (Pics)

Sat Mar 17, 2007 5:04 am

Hey Everyone, Last summer (Since I was not a member of yet) I couldn't post a trip report so I decided to post it .

My trip was from Tucson to Detroit with a connection in Chicago/O'Hare. I would take American from TUS to ORD and then switch to Northwest for the ORD-DTW leg.

I got to TUS to board AA1362 (MD80) which was scheduled to leave at 7:26am but we got delayed around 15 min so we left at around 8:00. The takeoff was wierd in that it nade my stomach drop but I always like when that happens.

During the flight we were served the usuall, a bag of pretzels and a drink. The stewardess was very friendly and was always there when I needed her.

Our runway assignment at O'Hare changed 3 times from 4R to 9R and finally to 14R. When we landed in O'Hare we had to wait for 2 American Eagle planes to go by and then we parked at gate K10 at 12:51pm.

Since the Northwest flight didn't leave till 4pm, I figured I would wander around Terminals 2 and 3 for while and take some pictures of aircraft. I grabbed a bite to eat and headed for my gate which was E11. My flight was NW1248 to DTW.

At around 3:30pm, the CSA at gate E11 announced that we would be delayed a little. I guess the delay was because there were only 2 staff trying to board 2 planes at gate E11 and E15 with another plane arriving at gate E13 soon.

We finally were able to takeoff at around 4:15ish. My flight had some group of Kids on it so my flight was really loud. Since the flight was so short, I really didn't see much of the flight attendants at all except for a drink which was only once. Anyway, We were on a DC-9-30 which Ive flown on many times.

We landed in DTW at 6:30pm at gate A7. DTW is my all time favorite airport (duh!) so I was in heaven. I grabbed my baggage at baggage carousel 11 and met my grandparents at the entrance. The overall trip was excellent.

Heres some of the pictures, I have much more if anyone wants to see them:
