DL BWI-ATL-DEN First TR With Pics Part 1

Tue Jun 26, 2007 2:59 am

This is my first trip report so go easy on me now. I booked this trip back in April with Delta. I wanted to go on a vacation to somewhere I have never been before in the United States. We got to the airport around 8:30 a.m. for a 11:05 departure to ATL. The flight was 100% full and the gate agent was offering a $400 voucher to catch the next flight to ATL. We boarded after 11:40 a.m. I was in group six. It was raining in BWI around 9-10am but the rain stopped around 10:30 a.m.

We boarded at gate C-16 and we only had WN Boeing 737 ahead of us for departure.
Sorry I could not get a good picture of the aircraft outside.

We took off runway 28 and then made a left turn to head south towards ATL. We had a very bumpy climbout. The FA's said the reason why we were late departing was that they did not come to BWI until after 2:00 a.m. last night so that is why our flight was late departing. The crew must have a eight and half an hour rest period. The flight was uneventful. We climbed and maintained 38000 ft. The crew for this flight was ATL and LAX based.

The crew came around and offered snacks I had sun chips biscoff cookies and a sprite.

We began our descent into ATL. The descent was very bumpy. The captain did not use the reversers during the landing.
The landing in ATL was one of the roughest landing I have ever experienced. We arrived at gate E-35. ATL sure is a huge and busy airport.

We boarded at gate E-15 a little late because the flight coming from Costa Rica was late. They had to cater our plane, clean the aircraft and do a security check. The weather in ATL was sunny and hot. I got a sandwich and water at a very pricey restaurant in ATL.

The flight was 100% full.
We waited on the taxiway for about 20-30 minutes. We had several DL and FL aircrafts ahead of us for departure. The crew for this flight was ATL based.
We took off and once we climbed out we had some light turbulence and in-flight movie was shown. There was a delay passing out drinks and snacks because of the turbulence. I had sunchips peanuts and a sprite. On both flights the FA did not give me the full can of sprite. The new uniforms on the FA's sure do look great. We landed in DEN but it was a bumpy approach. The landing in DEN was much smoother than the first flight. The FA made a mistake at the time she said it was 5:45 PM but it was really 4:45 PM. We landed next to a United Express Dash 8. The captain did not use the reversers during the landing. I got my bags and headed to the supershuttle counter to get to my hotel.

Good job for a first time. Next time include more detail if you can. Also set up the images with the [img] url [/img] code so the pictures are embedded into the report and we don't have to click to find them.

Photobucket already has the coding set up, you just have to copy/paste the coding from Photobucket to the report.
I love ASO!

Good to see DL having decent loads on these sectors though shame about the lack of on-time performance.
