I enjoyed your TR and pics. It appears there was a world of difference between the service on CX and AA. I have made the NRT-JFK flight on AA several times, and have had wonderful service, except on one flight, the purser wasn't very helpful. The inflight service is what can really make or break the trip.
Here's a link to my recent NRT-JFK flight

Nice pictures... and I'm so glad you saved the rabbit!  Smile I never go to those markets in Taiwan cus I know I'll be sad seeing what they feed the snakes.. BUT there's something problematic with this sentence.. "He wouldn't sell me all the rabbits...and this is China."  Sad Taiwan is NOT China or part of China. Please read the thread "Future of ROC (Taiwan)" when you have time. Anyway, love the pics and it feels great to see people traveling to my hometown, Taipei! Big grin thanks!  Smile  Smile

I didn't know that you can just take animals on the plane without any problems... or I missed something?

Thanks for the TR,

One thing that annoyed me was that there was ham and bacon for the meat choice and when I asked for both the FA was like no, you get to choose ham OR bacon. What kind of international first class is this??

Thats is quite bizarre...whenever I have asked to get double choices, I always seem to get it on AA (Usually in C class). I guess its the unfortunate luck of the draw (it shouldn't to be this way), which crew you will receive...

Were you able to take Sundae in the cabin with you? Or did she have to ride in cargo? I brought my 2 cats to Japan and they had to ride in cargo from LAX-NRT. They did fine...they were stressed, but they did not suffer any adverse effects and I'm so glad I could bring them to Japan with me

This is one of the best yet one of the most bizarre trip reports I've read. So you did take the bunny on the plane? No one said anything? X-rays? How did that all go?

All in all great pictures! Really amazed by the great service CX gives compared to AA. From a FA almost "in tears" about all people in F to " ham OR bacon".

Cheers!

Congratulations for this TR

Did you put your carry on through the xray machines with Sundae in it? is that harmful or harmless? No one saw Sundae at the airport?

I was surprised because you would need vaccination records in order to export and import animals with you.

I had to organise many things in order to fly my cat here from the USA.

However, Sundae looks so cute. Glad you saved 'her'  Smile

Yeah, Sundae went through the X-rays in HKG and NRT and didn't bother anyone. Rabbits aren't exactly what security is looking for, fortunately. I don't know if it's harmful or not but it sure beats getting eaten by the snake.

Wow... I am more amazed that the securities at TPE and NRT did nothing... it's a living being... shouldn't it have some signs when it goes through the x-ray? I never carried pets... I wonder if they also let you carry pets like that even if you go through all the legal reports and documentation?

Wow, I am really surprised you got through with Sundae! As Ronerone mentioned, I thought you would have needed vaccination records etc. to export/import animals!

Did security even comment when they saw her in the x-ray?

This was a really enjoyable report, and I must say, I'm impressed with your appetite! I hope Sundae continues adjusting well, but I'm also surprised you weren't asked for vaccination records and such.

were there any legal papers or quarantines that were involved with sundae? you could just bring a pet from other countries into the united states like that?
