My flight from Ontario to Omaha was a very pleasant experience, one of many that I have had on Express Jet Airlines. Coming to Ontario Airport on a late Saturday afternoon was a pleasant experience, with no line at security, and an easy walk to Gate 210. Express Jet was finishing preparations for the flight to Oklahoma City when I got to the gate, and I waited about ten minutes until they were ready to board the flight to Omaha. Boarding was easy, with a quick walk down the stairs to the tarmac, and over to our jet. Push back was well ahead of schedule, and we were in the air ten minutes before the scheduled departure time. Departure was towards the west, with a bank to the southwest to fly over Chino, Riverside, and south of Palm Springs. From there on, we headed towards the northeast, and at one point flew directly over Durango, Colorado. Visibility was great on the flight, and I got a great view of Colorado Springs. After that point, it was cloudy skies, and we did not see the ground again until we were on final approach to Omaha.

The service was impeccable, even though we only had one flight attendant service serving roughly 30 passengers on board. About ten minutes after departure, we were served a light meal, consisting of an Italian club sandwich (with pepperoni. salami and cheese), carrots and Snack wells cookies. Beverage service included a full selection of soft drinks, and I used my Jet Set Bux to purchase some Fosters beers. The beer is only one dollar for a can on Express Jet. That is the cheapest Fosters I've ever had! The flight's duration was 2 hour and 35 minutes, and with about one hour left in flight, we were served some more food, a snack pack with cheese, pepperoni and crackers. What a treat to receive so much food on a domestic flight!

Upon arrival in Omaha, we were promptly met with the gate checked bags, and a quick walk into the terminal brought the passengers to the car rental counters and baggage claim. I was once again impress by the quality of service aboard Express Jet!

This is what was filed for your flight:

The Prado 6 departure is the easiest departure for eastbound departures, despite its southeast track. Based on the route your flight actually flew, looks like you flew the departure to Thermal, then instead of Parker, went direct to Drake (DRK) instead. After Drake, it was direct to Grand Island for the arrival into OMA. The filed route goes over New Mexico, Oklahoma and Kansas.

Good to hear. This is a rarity nowadays, especially in the U.S.
Unfortunately I was not able to sample X-Jet during my recent vacation in Texas (I had been looking into flying them back from MSY to SAT) but had made reservations to another destination with WN instead, only to change that ambitious series of flight the day before flying into something more relaxed (and secure) which then took me to MSY.
Carpe diem ! Life is too short to waste your time ! Keep in mind, that today is the first day of the rest of your life !
