Jujuy- Buenos Aires/Jorge Newbery
Departure time 15 hs.
Fast account of a trip done last year, a domestic flight from Jujuy, in the north of Argentina to Buenos Aires Jorge Newbery Airport.
Although most airport terminals in Argentina are already modernised since privatisation, Jujuy was still then a provincial airport. I really loved that it still looks like in the late seventies, the signage is the same from 1978, like the ones found still in the terminal in Ezeiza airport. Jujuy is a small but comfortable airport, with very friendly service. Here a view of the cafeteria.
Departure was slightly delayed, about one hour due to late arrival of the aircraft from BA. But after quick turnaround we boarded and departed. I was surprised to hear a female voice coming from the copckit, the FO telling the cabin crew to prepare for take-off.
It was a very pleasant flight, with good weather all the way down to Buenos Aires. The crew served a drink service together with a snack box containing cakes, biscuits and savoury snacks.

After around two hours the approach began, with very nice afternoon light views of the Pampas and later over the northern districts of Buenos Aires including San Isidro, Olivos, Martinez.

One of the most pleasant things of flying in AEP is the high chance of using stairways and for the MD80, deplaning through the back ones.
Jorge Newbery is very convinient and fast airport and within minutes you are leaving the terminal. We left the terminal together with our crew on this flight.
