Ryanair And One Day In Madrid

Thu Dec 04, 2008 7:02 pm

Yesterday I went to Madrid, I had only a few hours to spend there, but I made a long stroll in the city center

BGY (45°40'26"N 09°42'15"E) MAD (40°29'37"N 03°34'00"W) 246° (SW) 1222 km
MAD (40°29'37"N 03°34'00"W) BGY (45°40'26"N 09°42'15"E) 57° (NE) 1222 km

Total: 2444 km

03/12/2008 BGY-MAD
Scheduled 09,00-11,20
Actual 09,08-11,12
Pax 137
Reg. EI-DCR
Delivered to Ryanair il 02/12/2004

Nothing special to say about BGY, there is a lot of work in progress so everything seems to be not too perfect

Looking out of the window I could see this NE 737

And an Air Bee MD 80

As usual take off from RWY 28, a 90 degrees left bank and then a right turn to reach our destination

Inflight I could see strange things for us Italians, like nucear power plants and sun power plants

And this unusual spanish panorama (when I think to Spain this is not the usual image I have)

Barajas, the new T4 and ita 340s

I can only say that we landed at 11,12, but we reached the finger only at 11,28 because the airplane had to made a long route to reach it.
Then the way for the metro is quite long, but when you reach it it's fast and reliabale. The fare is € 2 one way, to reach the metro station you want.

Then I went to Castillana zone

One of the monuments dedicated to Cristoforo Colombo

Then I went back to Puerta del sole and I visited the commercial city center, which is quite nice. So I took the metro to the airport. I had to go to Terminal 1, but I couldn't leave without having seen the new T4. Terrific, absolutely beautiful, light, clean, roomy.

The opposite of T1, T2 and T3, really old and “worn off”.

03/12/2008 MAD-BGY
Scheduled 18,20-20,35
Actual 19,03-20,56
Full booked
Reg. EI-DWM
Delivered to Ryanair on 07/11/2007

Even this time the way to reach the departing runway is quite long (15 minutes)
The flight has been very bumpy, one of the most “shaky” I had in my whole life. Funny!!!

Ciao
