TR6 – Part 4
Island Hopping With Cape Air STT-STX

Again, I cannot download those pics, so the video is on my profile or you can follow this link:

Island Hop: Cape Air STT-STX

As we came out into the check-in hall of Cyril King Airport, aka STT, we headed straight for Cape Air. We told them why we missed our flight for the day before (if you don’t know, you can go to part 1) and they rebooked us for free. After passing through security, we were welcomed to an empty room except for us and two other passengers. I tried to do some spotting. Two others finally came into the room and our plane arrived.

9K876: STT-STX
Cessna 402 – N812AN
ETD: 5:45pm
ATD: 5:45
ETA: 6:09
ATA: 6:04
Seat: 1A
Dep. Gate: 9
Arr. Gate: 1 or 2

Boarding went by casually, our carry on were carried on the wing compartments outside; the luggage in the nose! We could sit wherever. I sat behind the pilot. He went over the safety info while our gate agent marshaled our plane. He went straight or the runway and I didn’t hear any ATC talk. We departed and I started snapping pics. On one pic, I accidently left the flash on! Oops, sorry!

We soon spotted Henry Rohlsen, aka STX and we landed safely. So finally, I was here in STX, St. Croix!

I like the shots of the Skyway and Roblex Shorts 360s! That's one of my favorite commuter planes...their just so goofy and seem so out of place...and for some unknown reason I like 'em!

And 477RS has some great tail art!

While it looks like the flight was pretty empty did you ask about sitting in the co-pilots seat? Most Cape Air flights are single pilot and when the flight is full one luck passenger has to actually sit their. From what friends have told me when the flight is not full usally the Captain's don't mind someone sitting thier anyway, especially those of us interested in avaition.

Enjoy the rest of your vacation in STT.

Regards

I was thinking to ask, but his sstuff was sitting on the seat. I didn't bother, I was really tired anyway.
