Quite long so take a pew and grab yourself a drink
This Trip was a first for me...1st Time with a friend on a holiday...1st time after all my holidays that I experienced an island of 6 miles to throw so many problems at me...but on the whole...It was a good trip...mainly for that 200 foot spit of sand that lies at the end of the runway...no stresses there...(Except for where the car was parked 300 feet away where I got my camera stolen) so some advice: Dont put your camera in the cooler even if you lock the car...I'm sure I locked it...
So from now on the trip report is positive
Dep: Manchester Airport : 15:30
Arr: Paris CDG
I arrived early for a bit of a look around, had a look in the Aviation Shop in T1 Arrivals...then took a few pics...
We checked in at about 1 hour before, check-in was really quick about 10 peeps, we made our way through a strange new security area of T2
...They've moved it one floor up and it just looks a bit confusing lol...
So we head to Le King de Burger and get some much needed cups of tea...then after a few sips...and a trip to la toilette, it was time for boarding...
A cute A318 awaited at Gate 213...Took off RW23L and away we went on a sunny UK day to paris...it was a great calm trip...we got in the mood with 15 mins of Rush Hour 3 (set in Paris) before the battery went lol...thought there might have been power points...
Immigration for an EU flight was really bad this time...about 1 hour...compared to the first time I went about 3 years ago of 10 mins...I'm guessing it's because I went to a Different Terminal with BA
Just after Immigration
Right so We leave our suitcases to continue on to St Martin so we spent the night in Paris...The trains are a bit bad for an Airport train...soon we arrived at Place de la Madeleine, a really nice part of Paris where I last came to...Hotel La Sangiune is a tricky Bugger to find...even though it's on one of the 4 corners of this massive Square...but well worth staying here...it has one of the most friendliest owners I've seen...and the staff are excellent too...opening the kitchen so we could have a drink as the shops were closed.
If you're going to Paris stay here...you can't go wrong...
With Google Maps in hand we studied the curved of buildings and roads to navigate our way to the eiffel tower
and what took about 40 mins to get to...

Arr: Princess Juliana : 15:30
So the next day we head for Le Metro to get to the Airport...We checked in for both flights yesterday so it was straight to the Gate Area...we had a quick eat in a restaurant and off we went to the Gate and bus to take us to a remote stand...
Up the steps and parked our Derrier's on the 2 seats on our right, behind the wing...4 Lovely engines waiting to push us all the way over the 3500 miles of Atlantic Ocean (with exception to the Flores Islands in-between)
Pour le Mange, food was as always, nice...some people don't like airline food, but I absolutely love it...especially the puddings...
What I thought was great about Economy was the Bottle of red wine we all got...
They set up the Drinks Trolley's in the Galley's and in the middle section so we can just go help ourselves...it's all set-up for us...you can just stand around in the back have a chat etc...Never seen this before on other airlines
As we Headed nearer to the Tropics, the clouds came higher and higher until we were skimming our way accross while listening to Micheal Jackson's "Beat it" and "you gotta be starting somethin"...
The Flight Attendents were very friendly...Especially the Lady and Gentleman in the following Picture...I asked after landing if I could have a look in the cockpit...She was really happy for me to...but after she asked the main purser and purser going up front...she said it would be a security problem...(though it was ok on Delta but I guess the captain wanted to get off to the Beach Bar hehe
About the Island: If you get a car and are staying up at the top right at Orient Beach...Drive the Left way round the island...because if you make the wrong right hand turn, it will only take you 5 minutes to realise that you are lost...Trust me...we got lost going both ways round for the whole 6 days we were there...
A Famous Football manager from England comes here
It was followed with mixed feelings about going home...but nothing will help better than a dose of aircraft and beaches
Here's some last snaps on the way to the airport of the way people live here:
Now the Descent from the hills to the tourist area around Maho
We checked in and walked back to maho beach for our VIP lounge in the open
The immigration was faster than what we had arriving here from the UK...I went out with a friend as she had a smoke...and going back through, they stopped me as i had 2 bottles of wine in my carry-on from the 2 longhaul flights...luckily they only took one out (both over the liquid amount) so was quite lucky
Sorry No take-off as before with the Juliana Video that was in bits, this was due to the space on my Stills camera...I wanted the landing at manchester
Hope you liked...I'm not that good at words hence the short stories
