Daytrip BGY-HHN-SXF-BGY

Wed Jul 01, 2009 11:09 am

This is the typical journey booked when the SPECIAL OFFER sign apperared on Ryanair site. It's impossible to say NO.
It was only a plane trip, because I had no time to take city tours. At the beginning I booked only BGY-HHN and HHN-BGY, but then I decided to add HHN-SXF and SXF-BGY.

BGY (45°40'26"N 09°42'15"E) HHN (49°56'55"N 07°15'50"E) 339° (N) 509 km
HHN (49°56'55"N 07°15'50"E) SXF (52°22'48"N 13°31'21"E) 55° (NE) 514 km
SXF (52°22'48"N 13°31'21"E) BGY (45°40'26"N 09°42'15"E) 201° (S) 796 km
Total: 1820 km

So I was in BGY, ready to leave

The airplane was an old style one

When I land in HHN I feel at home, because I like this place

Here are some HHN pic

Then I took the bus, bound to FRA which cost € 16 (return) and I arrived to FRA at about 11,30.

Here's T2, concourses D- E, disembarking from the train which connects T1 and T2 every 140 seconds.

Concourse D, there's Skyteam

McDonalds is upstairs. There's a visitor terrace, but it's nothing if compared with the older one. Admittance costs € 5, but I don't think it worths the price .

It was time to go back to HHN, the bus leaves at 13,15.
I go to concourse B at gate 9, from which my flight is going to be boarded at 16,45.

All gates were crowded, at the left we had Palma de Mallorca leaving at 16, we at 9 to Berlin at 16,45, then Bari at 15,30 and Rimini at 15.

But a severe thunderstorm was approaching and all boarding and disembarking procedures have been interrupted until 16,45 . “Due to severe weather conditions boarding procedures are suspended”.

Then the weather improved and disembarking and boarding procedures started.

I took off to SXF

The way from gate to exit is quite long, here's EI-DPL, which took me to SXF

Unfortunately it was late and I couldn't go to the city center, so I spent some time in SXF

This is the connection between terminal and rail station

http://olist.altervista.org/_altervista_ht/BGYHHNSXFBGY/DSCF2484.JPG

I passed security check and an announcement was made: a delay for HHN 21,30 flight.

Then I realized that my flight hasn't been announced yet, so I checked on Bergamo internet site and I saw that instead of 20,10, departure to SXF was delayed until 22,35.

Note the time....

Nice trip report.  Smile

Quoting F.pier (Thread starter):
Flight fare (all included) € 2,50

Quoting F.pier (Thread starter):
Flight fare (all included) € 3,40

Quoting F.pier (Thread starter):
Flight fare (all included) € 2,10

You realise, of course, that many A.nutters would still complain - and endlessly - even though they would have paid less than €3.40 for each sector!  Wink

Hey, Pierangelo,

nice pictures of well known places!.

According to the fares simply a must to go on for a day of flying around.

Always nice to read daytrip reports. Interesting monitors at HHN with the route to the aircraft stand.
