Nice report! SK will be missed in SEA. Maybe when the economy improves and they are able to get their house in order, they will return.

A few comments on your pictures:
- you're right that SEA doesn't have the best food choices, but I think you may have missed the central terminal food court that has the better selection (it's about 5 min walk from the Africa Lounge)
- the pictures of the skyscrapers that you took is the city of Bellevue, not Seattle (Bellevue is 10 miles east of Seattle)
- it was indeed Mt. Rainier that you saw upon landing

Thanks again for sharing!

Nice TR, thank you for posting  Smile

Glad you liked Copenhagen  Smile

"SAS has a dizzying variety of short haul aircraft for an airline its size. I'm not sure how economical that ends up beeing but there sure is s lot of variety"

Its not, and one of many reasons SK is not making money....  Sad

"Love the scarab on the tail"

Its actually suppose to be a Viking helmet..... Big grin
But now that you mention it....Hmm.....

"Restaurant choices in terminal 3 at Copenhagen are expensive and terrible. We ate at this foul noodle place where they scooped your choice of crappy "Asian food" into a cardboard take out container and then popped it in a microwave until it was devoid of all texture. I believe we paid about $40 for this honor."

Sorry to hear that you fell into one of the "tourist traps" at CPH...
We locals know where the hidden gems are, hint: hereford beefstou.

Again nice report and i enjoyed reading.

I loved Copenhagen. It's incredible. I want to go back in the winter when it isn't so packed full of tourists.

I'll check that out next time I'm in CPH!

Great report!

It was interesting to see SK's long haul product these days. It seems like the trays have gotten bigger, though it seems a bit pointless to make them bigger when the amount of food proveded is exactly the same. Neither did i like the looks of the china, etc the food was served on, it looked very sterile (all whie you know) almost like hospital food  yuck

It was nice to see from copenhagen again, eventhough I was there last week. It seemed like you visited all the places I never got time to do, aaww...
Though I did choose to travel the green way to CPH, by train i.e. In the very comfortable First Class X2000. Great J-clas' ish service for a price even lower than the cheapest coach flight!

Here's a similar trip! Enjoy! Trip Report: Train to Gothenburg, 1st Class (pics) (by LH4116 Jul 10 2009 in Non Aviation)

You need to re-think your comments on the flight attendants, its not their fault they got ****ed over by management. Because of that I will not read into the second link.

Terminal 1 was built in the late 80s by the way.....not bad for 20 years old!

Great report and I really nice pictures

I was on SAS to Chicago two years ago (also in the exit row) and I think the are no worse or better than any other airline, and just like all other airlines the food isn't the best part on the flight. I also would like to see AVOD on their planes, the IFE gets kinda boring after a while.

I'm gonna fly ARN-EWR-ARN on Malaysia Airlines in about two weeks, gonna be interesting to compare compare and see if MH really is as good as everyone says.

Not at all bad. I thought it was quite a bit newer than that. It actually kind of explains a lot.

Thanks again for a great report as I always enjoy them!

Ive never flown SK, but I did just return from a Finnair flight from HEL-JFK-LAX. The service was almost exactly what you described. Very clean planes, professional FA's, very clean airport with bad food options (at HEL), and grotesque onboard food. The only difference was that Finnair has AVOD. Maybe the Scandic carriers are very similar indeed.
It is what it is...

Nice report, and excellent pictures!

The only thing wrong with it is....

The train between the terminals is 10-15 years old also...

Terminal 1 at ORD is my favorite terminal of any in the world. It has the "Grand Central Station" feel with a modern face lift.
