City Pairs: SNA-MSP
A/C and REG: A319-114 N364NB
Departed from: Gate 13
Arrived at: Gate G12
I took my first trip to MSP. I flew from SNA to MSP non stop. The A/C was in the new DL livery and had the DL leather seats inside. The crew was very nice and welcoming. I really must say I have heard some really not so good things about NW but I must say the crew was very nice and were very helpful during the flight. Better than most of my flights on other airlines. I was seated in 6F. So it was a awesome seat and the new seats are quite comfy. We took off over Santa Ana the opposite direction that the flights take off. Take off was so quick and nice and nice view. I am quite fond of the A320 family. I have always enjoyed flying on them. This flight was my longest time being on a A319. The flight was 3 hrs long. The flight was quite bumpy most of the way and the seatbelt sign was on the whole flight just about. Not much of a view during the flight. It was all clouds and was supposed to rain in MSP the next 2 days. I felt that I was really flying NW still. The announcements onboard were all about NWA. Delta was not mentioned at all. I guess they are holding on to NWA for as long as they can. Landing was uneventful. Cloudy but MSP is so beautiful. All the fall colors. I loved seeing all the Delta there though. We arrived at the gate and the airport is so nice and modern. Very easy to get around there.

City Pairs: MSP-SLC
A/C and REG: A320 N331NW
Departed from: G22
Arrived at: C12

I got up so early to get on this flight that left at 0705. I got to the airport and it was pretty deserted. I go to the kiosk to check in. I get through security pretty fast. I get some food and then off to the gate. I am excited to fly on a A320. I don%u2019t get this opportunity very often. I wait awhile and then its time to get on and to my middle seat 6F. It was pretty comfortable for a middle seat. I was expecting something bad since I have sat in a middle seat for over 3 hrs and it was not fun but this was not to bad. The A/C was in DL livery and had the DL blue leather seats. Very nice and pleasant crew . The announcements again were all NWA no Delta . I did not mind it since I never had a chance to fly NWA when they were on their own. I did not feel a Delta vibe in MSP. It still felt like NWA there. It was raining and I was glad to be going back home to warm sunny Orange County eventually. Long take off queue the in the morning but finally it was our turn. That A320 was like a rocket and away we went in the dark sky. It stays dark there till almost 8am. That is something I am not use to. Drinks came not long after and then put on my ipod and read my book for most of the flight and enjoyed the awesome view from the widow. Snow capped mountains. It was bumpy again but not that bad nothing I am not use to. Then I saw SLC as we were landing. It is so pretty there and again even more pretty with all the Delta and SkyWest A/C there. Thanks for flying NWA was said and off to the next flight to take me home to CA. Great flight and loved flying the now unofficial NWA.

City Pairs: SLC-SNA
A/C and REG:MD90 N912DN
Departed from: D9
Arrived at: 14

I was in SLC for almost 2 hrs and now it was time to go to SNA. The airport there was a bit old fashion and smelled a bit musty. However it was not bad and had a awesome view out all the windows there. And seeing all the DL flights going in and out it can't be bad. I was so excited to fly the MD90. This was my first time on one. I flown many MD80's but this was going to be different. I do like the GIDS and SLC and the auto announcements there. I got seat 12A. Awesome a window seat. I sit down and get comfy for the short 1hr 19m flight. The plane pulls back and we start taxing and I could not believe how quiet the engines are . It must have the most quiet plane I ever been on. The safety move comes on. Then after a long taxi we take off and it was so quiet during takeoff. I never knew these planes were so quiet especially since the MD90 is quite noisy all the time. I was expecting that. We take off and make a couple left turns and go down toward Lake Mead and Las Vegas. It was so clear all the way down you could see the ripples in the lakes below. Such nice scenery on the way down. We flew over Lake Arrowhead and then over the OC and down to SNA. What an awesome landing. The crew of course was awesome and another excellent flight. Hope to fly DL again soon. I hope everyone enjoys the trip report.

The merger hasn't been completed yet. NWA still exists as a carrier.

MD-90 and noisy? No way.

Nothing's worse than flying the same reg twice!

My mistake I was talking about the MD80 series.
