AA International First On 757

Fri Dec 30, 2011 10:53 pm

I haven't seen any pics of an AA 757-223 International First Class cabin on here, so I thought I would share with you.

Yes, you can't see the front of the seats, but taking pics of AA cabins is a very difficult thing to do as there must be some company policy against allowing pax to photograph the interior of their planes, as almost every time I've tried a flight attendant would tell me it's not allowed.

So, this pic was the best I could do!

Date: 12/19/2011
American Airlines
Aircraft: N198AA 757-223
Flight: 2035 JFK-MIA

BTW... Flight was good. Left about 20 minutes late, arrived pretty much on time due to the schedule padding.

Ive been on that aircraft just couple days before your flight! I flew from MAN-JFK on the 17th, though I was in Y and we boarded through the second door so didn't get a good look at first. thanks for sharing

That looks fantastic! Is it true lie-flat or angled lie-flat?

I believe that is international Business, not first. Correct?

AA C on the 757 is pretty nice.

However Y on the 757 is like a "cattle car." I flew to Punta Cana last month. Next time I will take JETBLUE. Modern planes, great legroom and great entertainment. And slightly lower fares. I really regretted taking AA; all for a lousy 3,000 frequent flyer miles.

I don't think so. I believe it is the same as the 777 biz class seat.

O.k. almost the same as the 767-300. AA's International configured 757's have the same Recaro angled lie flat seat as their 767-300's. There are some slight differences. Most of the 767-3's have about an inch more pitch than on the 757's. And on the 757's the IFE/AVOD are permanently built in (smart choice). Instead of the (imho) - poorly designed portable IFE/AVOD units that have to be loaded on the 767-300's.

Was this with the same set of crew (or the same flight pairings) I had? I took a ton of pics on my MIA-JFK and nobody said a word about it..

AFAIK there is no real policy on photos, I think it is etiquette that you do not try to get photos of other pax or crew. Also this is International business or Domestic F. The only international F AA has is on the 777. I prefer those seats actually to the herringbone coffins, but they are no where near the new CX J or SQ J.

I much prefer this "International" 757 in the front cabin to the 767-300's front cabin on AA because of this. On the 757, you get the moving map - you don't get that on the 767-300.

I don't think so. In the past, many of the flights coming down from JFK to MIA would turn (cockpit and cabin crew) and return to JFK, but a year or two ago they stopped doing that.

Guess my flight was the exception then, crew was turning with A/C.

I have run into the same thing, I wanted a photo of the inside of the aircraft and I was told that it is not possible to get it due to people complaining about their privacy. Of course that made no sense since I was last on the aircraft and no one else was going to be in the picture.
