A Weekend Trip To BSL On LX.

Sun Mar 18, 2012 7:47 am

Hello everyone!

Welcome to my 8th trip report and my 1st on Swiss European Air Lines.

My Swiss European Air Lines Experience

Introduction

During my exchange in Denmark, I decided to make a short weekend trip to BSL on LX. It would be an excellent opportunity for me to fly on an Avro RJ 100 as we don't have them back in Singapore. I left my apartment 3 hours before ETD and took the DSBFIRST to CPH.

No complains whatsoever as the check-in agent did what he had to, professionally.

As there was still some time to kill, I decided to walk around the terminal after having gone through the immigration checks. Spotted my first AC in CPH!

Look what I found connecting T1 and T2!

My boarding pass.

Inflight

Flight: LX 1291
Route: CPH-BSL
Scheduled departure: 1725
Scheduled arrival:1925
Aircraft: Avro RJ100

Registration: HB-IYT

Goodbye Denmark! See you in 2 days time!

That's clearly the reason why I love flying.

The passenger sitting a row before me was meticulously reading the safety information card!

The 'view' if I chose to look straight ahead. haha!

As soon as we reached cruising altitude, the cabin crew sprang into action. Not bad for a short flight, eh?

Fellow passenger in deep thought.

Or he was probably just admiring this view right outside his window.

Before arriving into BSL, the cabin crew went down the aisle and offered passengers some chocolates. I had to take more than 1.

Someone needs a bit of dieting!

Very nice indeed! Not something I expect on a propeller aircraft

Such a simple yet lovely touch from SWISS which really makes it stand out from the rest of the other European carriers.

It must have been a really nice weekend spent in the beautiful city of Basel! Very nice that you flew the Avro RJ 100 as well and on one of your fav airlines nonetheless!

Excellent TR! I can't wait for more of your LX experiences

Cheers,
Gavin

Too good an opportunity to miss.

A fellow A.netter or did he leave his newspaper at home?

Or he was probably just admiring this view right outside his window.

The endless variation of cloud formations is something that is always fascinating. Nice selection of photos of Basel both here and on FB.

Thanks for sharing your brief excursion.
