Thanks for the great story with good pictures! Silkair looks to be a good carrier. I think this is the first report I read about them!?

Yes, this will be a first time for me. I was seriously considering going this past weekend but my friend that lives there is out of town for a few weeks. When she get's back, I'll make some plans to visit.
If you're around, would be cool to meet up. It would especially be cool to meet up with an aviation geek in Indonesia that can take me to Surabaya to go plane spotting.
