TG’s 5th A380 revenue flight!
TG’s 2nd A380 flight from Bangkok to Hong Kong

After an enjoyable night in the Novotel Suvarnabhumi Airport Hotel (highly recommended if you needed to have an over-night transfer in Bangkok Airport), it was time for me to catch the hotel’s shuttle bus at 5:30 am.

As the major airline in BKK, TG has the dedicated check-in area for their F & J passangers.

Everyone can have their own seat while doing the check-in. Really a cool idea.

Then all their premium passengers can go through the custom and security check via the fast track line, which enabled you to avoid the mess of BKK’s super slow custom and security check completely.

Once the custom and security are cleared, you are at the entrance of TG’s F & J lounge immediately.

The lounge was quiet and comfortable,

however, the breakfast were not very attractive.

According to the boarding pass, the boarding will begin in 7:20 am, so I managed to arrive the gate at around 7:00am,
I was completely surprised by the “FINAL CALL” display….

My old friend, HS-TUA was getting ready at her designated C3 gate.

Something wrong with the wing??? Hey, this was only your fifth commercial fligh.

A huge seat map placed in the gate area

Passed my boarding pass to the ground staff and I was allowed to go through the air-bridge immediately. Right turn instead of left.

Greeted by the friendly FA at the door.

Business cabin again. The loading were better than yesterday’s TG601 in both J & Y

Welcome drink & hot towl

Mood-light set, getting ready to go

Beverage service began, at the same time, FA took the breakfast order from you.
As a F & J pessenger, you are able to pre-book the special meal.
I booked, and the boarding pass clearly showed the record.
However, instead of confirming my special meal,
the crew kept on asking for my choice.
Once she knew my special meal request, she looked a little bite surprise.
Luckily, she finally confirmed my order and wish me a good journey.

Appetizers, same as other passangers

My pre-booked main course
Beef Steak Peppercorn Sauce Served with Lyonnaise Potatoes and mixed vegetables

Juicy, not over-cooked. Super delicious and was one of the best inflight meal I have ever had.

For the normal meals, those main courses didn’t look attractive and many passengers didn’t finish their meal.
I’m glad that I have pre-booked my delicious steak!!!

The 2 hours journey almost came to the end

Second time in HKG for HS-TUA

Docked at gate 62, one of the A380 ready gates in HKG

The meal was delicious; crews were very friendly (much more better than the inbound flight); seat was comfortable. Overall, I am very pleased with TG’s offer and hope that they can make a good profits with their A380 flagships.
