Depart: Trenton Mercer Airport (TTN) 405pm
Arrive: Orlando International Airport (MCO) 645pm
Weather forcast called for Snow/Sleet then rain after 3pm, so I was hoping my flight wouldn't be delayed. Took me 35 minutes to get to Trenton Mercer Airport in a cold rain. Arrived at Mercer Airport about 3:15. Checked-in at the counter which didn't take long, was given boarding passes for 2A and 2B (I purchased an additional seat because I'm a COS). Check-in agent comes around the counter and places a luggage tag on my check-in bag and tells me I need to bring the bag down to TSA and they would take it from me. A little weird but I guess this airport isn't really configured for commerical flights so they don't have a belt. Informs me that there is no bathroom past security, again another flaw that will hopefully be fixed when the engineer who TTN hired makes his recommendations. I turn around to pick up my carry-on only to realize its not there.
It had been raining when I crossed the parking lot so I stopped when I got over the overhang outside at the entrance. Thinking that I left it there, I go outside to look. Nowhere to be found. So I think that the Mercer County Sherriff's office (provides security for TTN and has a substation there) may have confiscated it as it was left unattended. I go up to the security desk and they say they haven't found anything but to go out to my car and look while they have an officer look around the terminal. When I get back to my car which I had parked on the other side of the lot, there it was sitting next to my car. It seemed I had left it there after putting down to get my bags together. Anyway get back to the terminal tell the officers I found it and thank them.
Head down the escalators and approach the security checkpoint, there was again a sign saying no bathrooms after security. There also was an area around the checkpoint with seats and a vending machine. No line, I turn in my checked luggage and proceed thru security. TSA worker tells me he needs to check my bag and as soon as I had my stuff together to meet him at a table to watch him go thru it. He goes thru it and finds the 2 tube value pack of toothpaste (unopened) I had bought at Walmart. I had planned to check it in my luggage as the tubes were 6 oz each. He says I can't bring them through and that my bag had already been processed, did I want to go back to my car and leave them there. Since it was raining I said no and he told me he'd have to throw them away. No problem my fault.
I get to the post security area and find just a few rows of chairs, a TV and double doors out to the Tarmac.

Not the best photo it was the only one I took. TV is off to the left and is playing headline news (shocker I know LOL). Terminal doors are behind me.
Get on my iphone to check the status of my flight as there was no flight board or even a podium with a sign behind it. Find out my flight is delayed till 547pm arrival at 827pm in Orlando. About 15 minutes later they come over the loud speaker and say they will have an announcement shortly. As I see Mercer County Sheriff Deputies coming into the waiting area, I realize that the announcement can't be good, perhaps a cancelation. Well 10-15 minutes later it was confirmed. Flight is canceled due to saftety reasons landing the aircraft and we were all going to be rebooked on a flight tommorrow at 1015pm. Best they can do, can't get a plane in sooner. Women comes around to see if we heard the announcement and she then explained that they would offer a refund but wouldn't be accomadating anyone on flights out of Philly (which BTW is against their policy, even in weather delays they are to put you on a carrier they have an agreement with. USAirways being one). Then the TSA agent who confisicated my toothpaste comes out and finds me in the waiting area and gives me my toothpaste back. TSA at TTN were terrific, very nice.
Well part 2 starts tonight on Frontier 2002 TTN 1015pm MCO 1255pm. Will have more pictures for then I promise.
