Just DUS It

Here is a report of a recent trip to Düsseldorf on the new LH Regional service from GLA.

My first report !

No online check in from GLA but old fashioned check in was smooth and was assigned a window seat 8A.

Virgin Atlantic A330 to Orlando.

Flybe and BA on the domestic pier.

Here is the CRJ 900 taking me to DUS.

757 looks great from this angle.

Gate 33 .

Boarding began on time . A few Americans onboard connecting via DUS /FRA. Load was about just over half full and none in Biz class for this weekend flight.

EK27 from Dubai has landed . Dwarfs our CRJ.

Climbout was smooth and conditions were glorious.

Chicken Schnitzel with Potato Salad. Ate the Chicken but not keen on the rest.

Just beautiful

A military Globemaster flew just below us for a bit.

Dutch coastline and descent has started from FL39.

Amsterdam airport barely visible

Likely to be Düsseldorf Weeze airport , Ryanair visable .

Fasten your belts we are gonna land .

Wonder whose stadium is this?

A bit of Golf...

Barges on the river , Rhine perhaps?

Made my way to the S - Bahn train

Glasgow gets a mention in the airport magazine.

Great flight on LH and hope this route prospers , its early days yet!

Need to go to Dusseldorf sooner or later!

Thanks very much for the report, I really liked all your photos! Did you do a return leg DUS-GLA as well?

I've heard a number of reports from people using this service on weekdays who reported decent loads (and a fair few in biz), but it seems its maybe been a bit quieter at weekends, so perhaps it might be better Dx6 rather than Dx4? Anyway, first month of operation with the summer to come so it should pick up.

Wrt to the stadium in your pic, I'm not sure, but someone will know!

Load was a bit lighter on the return flight .

No one in Biz on both flights.

I hope to get a report for the return sector up soonish.
