Aurigny To Add Bournemouth With 360's.

Mon Jan 26, 2004 5:03 am

Aurigny have confirmed that from 7th March 2004 they will be starting daily flights from BOH to JER and GUI.

Whilst it had be rumoured that they were going to add these routes, the surprise for me is that they won't be using the Saab 340's, but instead using the trusty Shorts 360 on the new routes, which are in direct competition with the existing services provided by Rockhopper.aero with their Trislanders.

Fares with Aurigny start at £55 return incl taxes. Nice to see new 'Shed' routes, it has become a very rare bird on passenger services in the UK in recent years.

The pic below is apparantly the new Aurigny livery.

Yeah that is Aurigny's new livery, they haven't added the Puffin to G-BPFN yet though.

Thanks Ryanair737 for showing the new livery in all its glory. I hadn't heard that they had a new livery and was very disappointed to see the pic of the Shorts 360, thought it was very bland. Looks nicer when finished off as shown on the ATR72.

Although somewhat dated, I reckon the old 'all yellow' livery was much more of an attention grabber!

Yeah, an all-yellow livery might be a good attention-grabber, but it might not appeal to business travellers, who generally prefer conservative-type liveries, like Go's - and not brash colours, like U2's. Still, in my eyes the all-yellow one and the current one are good.

Capital146, I like that livery in the picture, but it seems dated now. The new livery of Aurigny is great, although I did like the one below as well.  Big thumbs up
