March 27, 1977: Pan Am Flight #1736 (Tenerife Disaster - 583 Fatalities) by member September11
Aircraft: N736PA (741). Route: JFK-LPA. 380 Passengers, 16 Crew Members (61 Survivors). Flight diverted to TCI for refueling (due to bomb attack at LPA). In TCI, a KLM 747, taking off on crowded & foggy runway, hit the Pan Am 747.
