Daimler-Benz Aerospace Airbus private airport on the Elbe river in Hamburg photographed from FL370 on Germanwings flight 4U284 from Cologne to Helsinki. Forward and aft fuselage sections and cabin furnishings for the new Airbus A380 are produced here in the new Major Component Assembly hall, which measures 228 metres long by 120 metres wide and is 23 metres high.
