A visitor from United Kingdom posted Tue September 6, 2005:What can i say? another stunning example of the skill and nerve required to take off and land at kai tak airport...Also a fantastic view of the peninsular, the harbour, and hong kong island...My respectes to the pilots who had to safely manoeuvre this very tricky approach, landing and take off as just another part of the job...and my respects to the photographer...

A visitor from United States posted Sat August 27, 2005:Great!! Pic!! It captures the layout of this fabled airport. From my perspective, it's very useful. Via your site, I've been looking at Kai Tek for years but haven't ever seen an angle that allows the viewer to see where many of those other iconic shots were taken from: How often does one see NCA bang an engine on the tarmac?? No chance for that sort of thing here at LAX or Blurbank, that's for sure. How neat to actually be able see for oneself, the layout from above of this airport? Finally, I have some context in which to place that fabled hill (whose name I can't recall) where all those photograhers did their remarkable work documenting those amazing landings!! How, without this picture, would one really be able to know what we were looking at in all those great shots?? ble to be put into context. It's my opinion that, although Airliners.com is very obviously the best at what it does, it misses the mark in terms of context sometimes. A picture like this one lets one know what and where all the other ones were taken. Many thanks to the photographer!! What's the date of the photo? And, can I get a downloadable copy for the wallpaper on my computer? Thanks, hflfrflanders@msn.com
A visitor from United Kingdom posted Sun August 21, 2005:Great shot, a landed there in 1996. It was beautiful and exciting. But I guess, efficiency had to take over Check Lap Kok is a great new airport.
A visitor from Venezuela posted Sat August 20, 2005:Good nice picture
A visitor from Italy posted Thu August 18, 2005:Kai Tak is the airport that nobody who understand a little bit about aviation can forget. This photo gives to me a mix of happiness for the great past, and sadness same like a page of the history that is over...
