9V-SPP (cn 28029/1276) This photo can tell you when landing at Kai Tak runway 13 (visible top left) why you need a 47 degree turn to align with the runway. It is because of that turn that this airport became famous. Kowloon and Sha Tin in New Territories was divided by a mountain range. From right to left: Eagle's Nest, Beacon Hill, Lion Rock and Temple Hill. Needle Hill, Shing Mun Reservoir Group, Golden Hill, and Kowloon Res Group at Kam Shan Country Park can also be seen.
