A visitor from Germany posted Thu September 8, 2005:Hi all, thanks for all your nice comments so far. I don´t know how long it will take, until the exif data i submitted shows up in the remark field, so i´ll just give it to you this way: Taken with D70 70-200mm VR @70mm, f2.8 1/15s, VR on, ISO 1000. It was taken on short final (well that´s obvious...) with a Groundspeed of appr. 140 knots. I hope that helps. One more thing about the below 10,000ft comment: I am only trying this kind of shot under certain conditions, which include a familiar airport, good weather situation and a low traffic environment. In advance i check with the Cpt, if he feels OK with me taking a picture on final approach and i try to arrange an early final configuration including the final checklist, before i even try to shoot. BTW, i´m not in control of the A/C when i take these pictures... If at any moment i feel that taking pictures will affect safety in ANY way, i don´t do it. Alright, i´m glad you like it and i´ll try to show you some more in the future, regards, Denis

A visitor from United States posted Thu September 8, 2005:Great photo for all the reasons mentioned above. Isn't "non-essential conversation" prohibited below 10,000ft? If so now does taking this photo become justifiable? Especially with the care needed to brace for a longer night shot.
