A visitor from United States posted Fri December 23, 2005:Do tell!! It can be somewhat of a chore to bring a single-engine Piper or Cessna down on a runway of this length. Just think how much more of a chore it is to bring an airliner down on this short of a runway. This shot illustrates that point very well, especially since you can make out the black signs with the white numbers clearly! Those signs indicate how much runway remains (in thousands of feet)! Nice shot Nick!
A visitor from United States posted Mon December 19, 2005:"Not sure I know of a 200k lb. airplane that lands at MDW." There certainly are. This was taken from the jumpseat of a Northwest A-320 and there are B-757-200s and -300s flying into MDW. It is a "get this thing on and stopped" kind of landing every time.
A visitor from United States posted Sun December 18, 2005:"Not sure I know of a 200k lb. airplane that lands at MDW." Take a look at the landing weights of NW752s and ATA753s. Those are HEAVY jets that routinely service midway. Having jumpseated in on a NW757, it was amazing. Autobrakes 2!

A visitor from United States posted Sat December 17, 2005:Brilliant! WOOP WOOP!
A visitor from United States posted Sat December 17, 2005:Great photo. For many, landing a Cessna on this runway can be difficult, but putting down a 737 or even a 757 on this thing is nothing short of amazing! There is no such thing as an overpaid pilot.
