Grey sky, bad light, bumpy flight but the nice ammount of planes on the apron compensated it: Saudi B747, Evergreen B747, Maskargo B747 (Div from AMS), MK DC8, AIN DC8, ex Silk Way DC8, RAF-Avia An-26b and Shaheen B732 (on delivery)

Quite special to just overfly OST airport. The mix of nice parked aircraft make the picture special as well.

The old houses in the background look so small ...

Thats what you call a good selection of aeroplanes lots of 747's and old dc-8's. Better than all the modern planes.

Ostend airport is a great airport.
To bad it isn't used more often

I first thought, looking at that apron: what kind of Russian airport is this...but then recognized the tower of good old Ostend. Great picture, good to see that there is finally some trafic over there!!

A visitor from Belgium posted Wed March 8, 2006:
Indeed. Big mistake by me ... It's a RAF-Avia An26-b.

Thanks for the comments by the way ;)

Sorry, there is no An-12. But shot is very good!

A visitor from United Kingdom posted Wed March 8, 2006:
Absolutely great!
what airport is it?

A visitor from United States posted Wed March 8, 2006:
Very nice picture, however the type you describe as an An-12 is actually an An-26 or An-32. The An-12 is four-engined.
