Fantastic picture! Razor sharp and with perfect lighting. Gives a perfect overview of the environment of a gone era. One with white knuckles and wet back sides.

Amazing shot! Kai Tak is still fascinating to see and the area around the old terminal seems to be booming.

This is shot over Hong Kong island. Across the river is Kowloon island and the strech was the notorious old airport, Kai-Tek. Behind the mountains there is another Hong Kong, known as Shenzhen, the first prosperous corner in China.

I really enjoyed this picture! It's a nice view like I never saw Kai Tak before. Still brought a tear to my eye to see this airport gone forever, only a piece of runway left.

Miss the good ol' days!
Tell ya something else: Kai Tak's area will be developed into a complex including piers for crusie liners, harbour-side park, a new stadium and some residential buildings.
Never forget RWY 13!

Was only a Pax back in the day and didn't appreciate the skilled maneuvers by the pilots to land there, but I was treated to the most incredible approach of all time ! What fun!

Nice angle, capturing virtually the whole Kai Tak clearly. Very rare to have such clear days now in Hong Kong.

Sadly the government does nothing to preserve anything for this, now forever gone, good old servant for Hong Kong's prosperity.

Excellent overview of Hong Kong, showing just how little useable land is available. Plus, it's beautiful.

Still amazes me how could people land a bunch of 747s everyday on that strip. 5*. Anyway, doesn't it look a bit overcrowded on the water?

This photo is excellent!! The weather is fine and the visibility is very good. Apart from seeing the Victoria Harbour & the ex-Kai Tak Airport, it is able to see the Shatin area on the top left and Ma On Shan area on the top right. This photo, I believe, was taken from an helicopter or fixed wing plane.

It is perfectly clear that the picture was taken from a military submarine!

I still find that kai tak was a very unusual location for an airport. Great angle in this shot! 5 stars!
