This photo is excellent!! The weather is fine and the visibility is very good. Apart from seeing the Victoria Harbour & the ex-Kai Tak Airport, it is able to see the Shatin area on the top left and Ma On Shan area on the top right. This photo, I believe, was taken from an helicopter or fixed wing plane. |

Nice angle, capturing virtually the whole Kai Tak clearly. Very rare to have such clear days now in Hong Kong.
Sadly the government does nothing to preserve anything for this, now forever gone, good old servant for Hong Kong's prosperity. |

Was only a Pax back in the day and didn't appreciate the skilled maneuvers by the pilots to land there, but I was treated to the most incredible approach of all time ! What fun! |

Tell ya something else: Kai Tak's area will be developed into a complex including piers for crusie liners, harbour-side park, a new stadium and some residential buildings.

This is shot over Hong Kong island. Across the river is Kowloon island and the strech was the notorious old airport, Kai-Tek. Behind the mountains there is another Hong Kong, known as Shenzhen, the first prosperous corner in China. |

I never been there, but just I can imaginate how romantic is land in this airport, watch hong kong populars suburbs on final, and give the first impresion of this super city... must be a beauty experience... |
